Disneyland's Main Street or Magic Kingdom's Main Street?

I never said that in the slightest. Thanks for not taking the time to read my post before you mounted your high and mighty horse.

Disneyland's Adventureland VS Magic Kingdom's Adventureland

Yeah... see I guess that's why I prefer MK's more. It's not quite so condensed and has more breathing room. You feel like you're actually traveling a substantial distance along a river and not just zigzagging in a loop from scene to scene like DL's. The plant life there also benefits from...

Disneyland's Main Street or Magic Kingdom's Main Street?

You're forgetting a fairly important point though -- in 1955, a turn of the century Main St. was still a familiar setting to many people who were alive at the time and evoked some serious feelings of nostalgia. It'd be like having a 70s themed land today. That obviously is no longer the case...

Disneyland's Adventureland VS Magic Kingdom's Adventureland

Not sure I really agree with either of those... For what MK's Tiki Room lacks in an actual fountain and less varied pre-show (but still fun and different), they do have a really cool exterior, a more grandiose interior, and cool Trader Sam's like windows with volcanos and real water for the...

News Star Wars: Galaxy's Edge - Historical Construction/Impressions

Is that from somewhere in Sylmar or wherever that was reported a while back as being the rockwork area for SWL? I always meant to take a trip out there to investigate!

Disneyland's Adventureland VS Magic Kingdom's Adventureland

One thing worth noting, especially to the DL'ers who don't travel east... WDW's Animal Kingdom pretty much took the Adventureland concept and went completely all-in with it there. So if you are a AL fan and have never been, you should make a point to get out there someday.

Disneyland's Main Street or Magic Kingdom's Main Street?

110% It’s always been there, at least as long as I can remember. Wedged between the firehouse and Emporium.

Disneyland's Main Street or Magic Kingdom's Main Street?

DL by a longshot. But MK does score a few points for having a functional barber shop, if you ever were so inclined to have your haircut while inside the park.

DL's obvious speaker playing laughter at the exit of The Haunted Mansion or The Magic Kingdom

You know me... I do love my Florida mansion. I don't love the queue additions, but I still think the overall FL mansion is a slightly better experience than DL's, but just by a hair. Also... NO NIGHTMARE in FL. Also, speaking of Nightmare, the story is that we have the overlay to thank...

Disneyland's Adventureland VS Magic Kingdom's Adventureland

Florida is not without its own merits, but I like Disneyland's better because it feels less like a theme park -- everything really does feel all jungle like there, with the two big attractions (Jungle Cruise and Indy) well tucked away behind the overgrown trees and heavily integrated within the...

Seen an old Disneyland Toy Factory

They had one of these at D23’s Destination D a few years back, I love that smell too. A shame you don’t see many Mold-A-Rama machines out in the wild anymore:(

News Paradise Pier Becoming Pixar Pier

Oh sure, there are some pretty amazing patios out here too that are better than the inside. AOC is one of my faves, if you haven't been it's a killer restaurant with the best patio around. And no, that was not my recommendation! I may have suggested Solvang in general though, it's...

News Paradise Pier Becoming Pixar Pier

I just don't think they think their consumers are so dumb that they don't know what a confectionary is... Unless perhaps they think there's a language issue with non-English speaking guests, which I suppose is entirely possible.

News Paradise Pier Becoming Pixar Pier

I think, as with any restaurant, when you choose to sit on the patio you are trading away the more unique inside ambiance for the nice outdside view. The inside has a lot more going on with it -- the view on the patio is nice, but it's still just a patio. Restaurants here in LA are the...

News Paradise Pier Becoming Pixar Pier

You ever stop and think... maybe, just maybe, there are other less-nefarious reasons for changes to theme park plans?

Is Paul Pressler Captain of the Submarines Again?

I honestly have no idea what you mean or what point you’re trying to make. I was just saying that just because something was once considered an e-ticket doesn’t mean it’ll always be one.

Is Paul Pressler Captain of the Submarines Again?

So was the monorail, pack mules, and Tiki Room. Things change and some attractions lose clout over time.

Is Paul Pressler Captain of the Submarines Again?

Yeah, but the difference is Nemo is a nightmare to maintain and takes up way too much space in a park that's badly in need of it. There are so many reasons as to why the subs should not still be there -- I suspect the only reason they even exist today is because SWL got its own land from...

Is Paul Pressler Captain of the Submarines Again?

Because that's what happened in Florida... and that's also what happened previously to the subs here the first time around back in 1998.

Is Paul Pressler Captain of the Submarines Again?

I know I've posted this before for other people on here....but I think of this sketch on a daily basis with some of the conversations here.
