And remember, these "models" are the absolute "BEST-CASE" scenario of how this turns out..... What an unfortunate, unforced error.

"We have up the parks experience so badly that people are willing to pay for an inferior version of a product that used to be included to have a chance at having something better than a completely crappy experience." Hey Joshy - just because I buy insurance doesn't mean I ENJOY buying insurance.

News Disney Explores Amazon Prime-Like Membership Program to Offer Discounts and Perks

This sounds a lot like the concierge attendants on the club-level floors. They are very pleasant, but they have no better or different access to ADRs, G+, ILL, dessert parties, etc. than anyone else. So it isn't like you can just ask one to get you into Space 220 or Homecomin' because you...

Josh D'Amaro comments on rising prices and "additional" or removed services: "An inevitable result of progress"

Along with a 1099 reflecting all of the money you spent the previous year "being the magic." Bob writes off the value of the magic you provided to yourself, and Uncle Sam gets his piece!

    Itinerary Advice?

This sounds like a great itinerary. My only suggestions: 1. Consider flipping 12/5 to MK and 12/6 to EPCOT. You can get in for the party at 4 (I think), so you can do EPCOT with a better shot at getting SPACE, then head over for the party. 2. If you have any interest in Star Wars, I highly...

Josh D'Amaro comments on rising prices and "additional" or removed services: "An inevitable result of progress"

Are you also in favor of a pool fee? If I don't use Disney pools, so why should that be built into the cost of my room? How about transportation fees? If I rent a car and don't use the monorail/buses/Skyliner, why should I cover transportation costs for everyone? What about a credit card...

    MagicBand+ announced

Just an FYI - I spoke with the help desk this morning on an unrelated issue, and she said 1. They were overwhelmed on drop day (amazing for them to be unaware, but they clearly were); 2. They are working with a third party for fulfillment (she said Shop Disney), so they don't have any real...

News Disney Park Pass System announced for Walt Disney World theme park reservations

I just did the same - (50 park-person days X 5 clicks for each cancellation) + (8 clicks for each reservation X 8 park days in 2022) + (5 clicks for each reservation X 5 park days in 2023) + 1 click when I was randomly required to re-login = 340 clicks to get my reservations to look like they...

News Disney Park Pass System announced for Walt Disney World theme park reservations

In addition to the horrible layout @G00fyDad pointed out above, it currently is only allowing a Modify Reservation option for my trip in November 2023. For my December 2022 trip, I can only cancel and rebook. My daughter and I both have two sets of tickets - one for each trip. For the 2022...

    Poll: Is Galaxy’s Edge Great(and a success)?

It's really interesting that you say this, and I think you're on to something. Walking through the tunnel does build some excitement. But once you're through....well, you're in Resistance Forest, which is extremely lifeless other than the entrance to Rise and the Coke Cart. It takes until you...

    Ogas cantina

Honestly, I'm not a fan of the mixed drinks. All too sweet for me. But sweet sells, so.... But their beers are very drinkable, and I'm a fan of the Rodian Ration (the green jello shot with the exploding balls, dried blueberries and pop rocks on top - not only is it fun, but it looks really...

    Ogas cantina

You have done something great - my go-to is to book Oga's as close to closing as possible. They officially close an hour after park the park's listed closing time, but they don't kick you out. They will eventually encourage folks to move along, and I wouldn't suggest trying to stay til...

Lightning Lane at Walt Disney World

Unless my phone didn't update yet (it usually does it automatically), I'm still seeing eligible return times for my friends who are there now. I tried to book them one (logged in as them), and it said they were not eligible until 1:00. ETA: I'm on Android.

Lightning Lane at Walt Disney World

It shows up how you're seeing now. This wonderful new "feature" was put in to reduce frustration by people seeing one time, then clicking and getting a whole different time. It's a bandaid on a severed limb, and IMHO it makes the Genie suck even worse.
