    TV Throwdown: Friends vs Seinfeld

I didn't grow up watching Friends, but I did watching Seinfeld. I can find Friends amusing, the wife is a big Friends fan but I simply can't do more than a couple of episodes. I could endlessly watch Seinfeld.

SPOILERS: Mandalorian Season 3 (beginning Mar 1, 2023)

De-aged Han was discussed back for Book of Boba Fett. Probably just people guessing what could be in the show. The biggest thing going for Han being in it is the de-aged Harrison Ford in the upcoming Indiana Jones film. Yet would they be willing to steal it's thunder in a TV show before it's...

    Describe an attraction….badly.

Besides a few elements, not very much like the Rock movie.

SPOILERS: Mandalorian Season 3 (beginning Mar 1, 2023)

I would put it down to them being better at using volume and various other production techniques to create a show like this. It's always going to improve with each season/show. Except for Kenobi which the use of the technology went backwards. It feels inevitable Mando will give up on his cult...

History of the World Part II (Hulu)

It was a brave choice to only include the misses in the trailer.

    Star Trek: Picard (Spoilers)

I may be wrong on this, but my understanding is the showrunner for this season started off season 2. Then they decided they would shoot season three back to back with it. So he went off to write that after the first few episodes. With the other bunch of idiots taking over season two.

    Haunted Mansion

There's a level of being fun, thrilling, suspenseful, surprising and emotionally engaging that the film should be. Scary is the wrong word. I don't see at all how a stretching room in a film would satisfy any of that. The trailer satisfies nothing. I know it doesn't fit the politics of the...

Mandalorian and Grogu meet and greet for Walt Disney World

"No, the stupid nerd fans are all into larping and can't have the illusion broken because they're all stupid pathetic fragile nerds." - Probably some Luscasfilm/Disney executive who looks down on the material. At some point some fictional version of fans of material seems to have been created...

    The DC Comics Film Thread

I think they just needed some sense of conclusion. It now feels like a very thin cinematic universe that is just going to fizzle out.

    Haunted Mansion

Trailers a flop for me. I don't think this will find much of an audience. The name and some imagery aren't enough to bring out any nostalgia or feeling from the ride. Doesn't look like a film that'd find an audience outside of that.

    The DC Comics Film Thread

I think flash has the most potential. Ezra aside. I think announcing the end of this version of the DCEU will dramatically hurt them. Although I have no clue to what extent the majority of the cinema going audience would even be aware of any of that.

    'Lightyear' Coming Summer 2022

When you try to tie something into an established franchise, people expect things relevant to the franchise to show up. I feel like there's some combination of Ayn Randian and woke ideology that's gone on. The IP has a strong inherent value and will do well. They're valiant Howard Roak type...

    Star Trek: Picard (Spoilers)

In that first episode when she was first onscreen being the Junkee was horrible. It felt like the writers were going, "remember how awful this character can be." Just to then juxtapose it with a much more tolerable version when it's revealed that was an act. As for other spin-offs, I've heard...

    'Lightyear' Coming Summer 2022

I haven't seen Lightyear, so can speak as someone who didn't want to see it based of the trailers. It wasn't asking too much. It looked like it missed the brief completely of why someone like me would want to see a Lightyear film. From the trailers, the film wasn't taking the character seriously...

Indiana Jones 5 Now Pushed Back to 2021

I wonder if there is any truth to the claim that these films are made by shooting a bunch of different versions and trying to find what works best in editing. Hence the high cost. The CGI really should be better if they're putting Avatar money into this. I feel there's a trend in Hollywood...

    Star Trek: Picard (Spoilers)

Picard and Riker team up was nice. Even if this season ends up sucking like the first two. It's going to be a master class in showing how those first couple of seasons, like the Sequel Trilogy completely fail at bringing back an old property.

    The DC Comics Film Thread

I don't know about that, I don't even know about the alleged bots stuff. MoS, BvS and JS JL are up there with the best comic book movies of the last few decades for me. Better than the vast majority of Marvel films. Real-world discussions, people seem to really like them. I read online...
