Happy Dance ... Have to Share!

Wow! I have been there, are we the same person? I give you much deserved credit! You are gonna have a blast! The parks are a blast by yourself. I have never gone completely by myself, but many trips with my ex-DH (btw that is not dear husband) I spent time alone. It is was much more fun!!!

WDW with a 7 year old girl

Maybe I will invest in new luggage before we go! I have my carry on, she has a backpack and 2 large rolling suitcases. Then there is her rider. I'd leave it behind but I'd probably regret it. She rides in it when her legs get tired, I had to convince her it was not a stroller, it a special rider...

WDW with a 7 year old girl

Thank you. Most of my planning is around meals that coordinate with the park we will be at or close to. We are staying at the POFQ. I think she will really like it there. Santa is leaving her cards to tell what she will be doing. I have tinkered with creating a scavenger hunt, kinda Dora...

WDW with a 7 year old girl

I am wondering if you have any advice..I am single mom and taking my DD (5 yrs) to WDW for Xmas. It will be just the two of us. I have to admit, there I days I wonder how I will survive. I have been there several times, but this will be Cassidy's first trip. I have tried to plan a magical trip...

Getting something special through the airport

Ever seen Meet the Fockers w. Ben Stiller?? Checked baggage is a no no. Worst case, you could propose at the security gate. I would approach the nicest friendliest security guard at the airport. If you have friends or relatives near Orlando, you could mail in advance and meet up with them. If...

WDW with a 7 year old girl

I am taking my daughter to WDW for the first time in Dec, I have been there several times and was a bit nervous about my first trip with my daughter. It will be just the two of us. She will be five. I think it is important to remember not overwhelm the child too much. Park Commando may not be...

    Port Orleans French Quarter

I am so glad you started this thread! I will be staying the FQ for the first time Dec 2007. Reading your feedback, I am feeling really good about my decision. Maybe having another opinion why I choose it would give you little extra peace of mind. IMO it is an affordable option without loosing...

    Information on 2008 packages

I was playing around online at Disney's website today trying to price a trip for 2008 and found something interesting. I am wondering if this could be the real deal....If you pull up DAK rates for 2008 it quotes $110 for a value season studio. Is that correct??? Are these undesirable rooms?

What is the worst Disney job?

Back when I did my college program over ten years ago, a friend from I think WSU did maintence on Main Street. Per a guest request, he had to dig in the trash. What his hand landed in was not mouse pooh. Something way worse! In my mind that is definitely the ickiest job at Disney!

    Ditching AK

Here is my opinion...I was in a similar boat and decided to skip AK. Here's my thought process...Disney has alot to offer. AK is the biggest park by square mileage. After visiting three parks, I decided not to overwhelm myself or my daughter with theme parks. I envision us being very exhausted...

    Spending Money Budget - HELP!!!

I guess the first question is how many members are in your family. And how you typically eat meals (i.e. restaurant style/fast food.) I have budgeted $100-150 spending money per day not including food. (I am a shopper, and WDW diminishes my will power.) I planned my WDW trip with the dining...

    Disney Birthday Pins

It's seems late to be responding, but I do have a question regarding the topic. I read some where that you can get pins for your first visit as well. I am taking my 5 year old and it will be her first time and a Christmas surprise from Santa. Does any one know if they are still making the "First...

Going The Week Before Christmas 12/15-12/23

Those are the exact dates I will be there with my daughter..she will 5 and it will be her first trip to WDW. We are excited! As should you! I did my research and am fairly confident that will not be too crazy. Most of my park visits are when the beginning of the week, my last park visit is...

    The Official December 2007 Thread!!!

I agree with the relaxing first day. We will probably get to Disney around 5 or 6. (Our flight arrives in Tampa at 3pm.)We will check in, then head over to Contemporary hopefully catch some fireworks and have ADR at 8pm at Chef Mickey's. I am calculating it will be enough excitement for lil'...

Has anyone done the math for the dining plan?

Before making reservation I priced out the cost for me and calculated that for two people whe would probably spend about $100/day on food when you add the sit down meals. When I quoted my trip it was only a $250 difference. So I consider it a savings in my case. I bought the Passporter book and...

    question

I think it is awesome. The price is really not too bad when you think about it. I checked out some other resources and their books are around 40-50 dollars. For the extra $20 or so I think it is worth having the Disney themes (I could not find any other digital books themed with Disney...funny...

    dining plan question

I made my ADR in June for December, some of my reservations also required credit card guarantee. I was advised that I would be charged if I was a no show. Some of the reservations had 24 hour cancellations while others were 48 hours. Hope this info helps...

    question

I use the creative memories version, Story Book Creator. It's free download from their website. It is pretty simple. I am a beginner in digital scrapbooking. I prefer the hands on, but time is an issue. I would love some insight on other programs perhaps ones that I can use for my Disney albums...
