Has anyone done the math for the dining plan?

    That's correct....it is a package deal.

Has anyone done the math for the dining plan?

My own experience was a mostly positive one. We managed to use all our credits during our trip, even using the last one for Breakfast on the morning we left. But, the amount of food is LARGE and if you're not huge eaters (as my wife and daughter are not) you waste a lot of food, which just...

    Viewing nighttime Parades/fireworks

we watched wishes from the bridge between Tomorrowland and the "hub". We were right underneath Tinkerbell as she flew down from the castle! Awesome! and not too crowded either.....

A little sad at how things are

Fair enough. No worries. Take care.

A little sad at how things are

SLAPPY: YES, I meant it as constructive and in NO WAY was I dumping on the moderators (which I thought should be clear by now). Perhaps I'll say it again, just to make sure: I have no beef at all with the moderators of WDWMAGIC.COM. And yes, I'm well aware that the worst offenders don't...

A little sad at how things are

My Thanks To Everyone Hi Folks....the "OP" here....... Just wanted to check in once again to thank all of you for caring enough to respond to this thread, especially after it was moved off the "front page". (not a complaint, by the way) To clarify for some (particularly Slappy): I do not wish...

A little sad at how things are

And here's a perfect example of what I'm talking about.... "...I don't really see the point of trying to convince people who liked the wand that SSE is a piece of art that is degraded by the presence of a wand. If they don't understand that on their own, they're probably the type of people who...

Do cell phones work well at WDW?

Cingular.....and it was intermittent, depending on where in the park I was walking.

A little sad at how things are

I will probably get attacked for writing this and I've stopped myself numerous times. But I think some of this needs to be said. I found this forum quite helpful for planning my daughter's very first WDW trip (and my first in 25 years). I found many helpful hints and suggestions just by...

    Dinning suggestions (help)

It's not on the Dining Plan and yes, it's a chain restaurant, but RAINFOREST CAFE at Animal Kingdom was the best meal we had on our trip! And your 6-year old will love it!

    KIDCOT Question

My daughter is 5 and she was quite interested in the Kidcot stops (and those stops in Animal Kingdom as well). They were mostly just simple little cut outs, but there are some coloring activities and some other little things. Nothing major, but it was a nice way to take a little break and give...

    Favorite WDW character?...

The ones I enjoyed most when they interacted with my daughter were Brer Fox, Captain Hook and Mr. Smee. Brer Fox sat her on a bench with him and goofed around with her. Then when she hopped away happy, he imitated her, which floored her with laughter! Hook and Smee drew mustaches and horns...

Parent's Magazine Stroller Tip--yay or nay?

Don't let that deter you. According to many, your kids are never too old for a stroller! Enjoy! ;)

    S'borin

    1) EXCELLENT thread title! 2) I liked the ride and so did my daughter. 3) But you do have a point about the bottom 2 rows and the feet in front of you. 4) Also the screen was a little dirty, which even my 5-year-old remarked on. But overall, we both thought it was fun!

    I feel like I'm alone...

No, you're not the only one. I've never understood why some people hate it. hate to put it this way, but: Who cares? It's fine. What's the big deal? Pretty sad to hear people whine about something like this.

    Magical Express

I am well aware of all of what you said. And we did in fact have a carry-on with immediate needs addressed. But 7 hours was still WAY excessive and we had to stay up late to wait for them to arrive. I would gladly have lugged the bags myself to avoid it. Just saying.

    Magical Express

Better yet, don't use the yellow luggage tags at all, claim your luggage yourself at the airport and THEN have them put it on the bus. It's more effort, but if I had done that on our trip, it would have avoided us waiting 7 HOURS for them to finally deliver our luggage to the room!!

    Resort Safes...

Well, in the safe I had at POR, there was NO WAY a laptop would fit. That's about all I can tell you. but really........honestly........Would it be so bad to leave it at home?

All WDW Resort Hotels non-smoking effective June 1st!

Hallelujah!! we can all breathe easier! EXCELLENT decision. If Smokers (the definite minority) don't like it, don't go to Disney. Smoking is not a right and Disney is private property. Enough said.

    Gates

Don't know when you visited, but they now use a fingerprint recognition system. You place your finger on a scanner and they encode it into your park ticket so no one else can use it. Didn't adversely affect any lines that I could see.
