We canceled our December Riviera trip (and we also specifically booked over GF so that we could use the Skyliner.) I'm not fearful about the gondolas (even though I have had a FUN time years ago being on an "unexpected downtime" in open gondola with only myself and a busy toddler. :eek: 10/10...

I would really love for us to stop offering to sit in a gondola for 3 hours in exchange for something free from Disney. It's terribly disrespectful to the people who actually did do it, and who had to deal with very low communication, no washroom facilities, fear, health concerns, stolen...

Goodness, that is such a service failure, and it makes me so sad that the people who really tried to provide relief were other paying guests.

Nobody has had more or better Skyliner content. Nobody has put out more (free) advertising for this thing. I sincerely hope they are giving Rob a concierge level gondola right now!

I do like to walk for fun and/or fitness, but even if that wasn't the case, for those who have mobility, walking was, is and will always be the most flexible and simple form of transportation available. None of the other modes of transportation are ever going to run with the level of frequency...

Is there a way to book a restaurant or experience....but hide it from the other people with whom the whole trip plans are shared on MDE? Surely, I'm not the only person who doesn't want family members to see the tickets I (want to secretly) purchase for a special event....right?

Thanks for all the info, everyone! I called Disney and they reduced our package cost down by the cost of 7-day hopper tickets (which I couldn't do online) then we applied that amount to new tickets for our friends. Thanks again!

I love the property/grounds and the relaxed beach hotel vibe at Grand Floridian. I don't think it's stuffy or fancy at all, but there is a 'granmma's house' feel to the furnishings that isn't my thing. If I was looking at the room or hotel interior only, it is overpriced and I would describe it...

We have a stay booked starting Friday, Feb 8th. It's cheaper to arrive by air late on Feb 7th, so we were thinking of just adding that night to our resort stay. But there is absolutely no availability on the night of Feb 7th. :eek: We've booked that night elsewhere now and will just move over...
