Disney Skyliner shutdown and evacuation - October 6 2019

We canceled our December Riviera trip (and we also specifically booked over GF so that we could use the Skyliner.) I'm not fearful about the gondolas (even though I have had a FUN time years ago being on an "unexpected downtime" in open gondola with only myself and a busy toddler. 10/10...

Disney Skyliner shutdown and evacuation - October 6 2019

I would really love for us to stop offering to sit in a gondola for 3 hours in exchange for something free from Disney. It's terribly disrespectful to the people who actually did do it, and who had to deal with very low communication, no washroom facilities, fear, health concerns, stolen...

Disney Skyliner shutdown and evacuation - October 6 2019

Goodness, that is such a service failure, and it makes me so sad that the people who really tried to provide relief were other paying guests.

News New Gondola Transportation - Disney Skyliner -

Nobody has had more or better Skyliner content. Nobody has put out more (free) advertising for this thing. I sincerely hope they are giving Rob a concierge level gondola right now!

    Cell phones on rides (rant)

Thank you from all the people in the cheap seats at the back who just want to ride Pirates in the dark! 🙌

Grand Floridian to Magic Kingdom Walkway

I do like to walk for fun and/or fitness, but even if that wasn't the case, for those who have mobility, walking was, is and will always be the most flexible and simple form of transportation available. None of the other modes of transportation are ever going to run with the level of frequency...

Booking on MDE but Keeping the Reservation a Surprise

Is there a way to book a restaurant or experience....but hide it from the other people with whom the whole trip plans are shared on MDE? Surely, I'm not the only person who doesn't want family members to see the tickets I (want to secretly) purchase for a special event....right?

Grand Floridian to Magic Kingdom Walkway

Being unable to walk to the MK has been the biggest drawback at GF for us so I'm happy to hear about this! 🚶‍♂️🚶‍♀️

    News Re-Usable Bag Price Increases

Doubling the price of an item that normally sells for a dollar or two? That seems so petty that it makes me wonder whether Disney is in some sort of financial panic. "I have an idea, Bob, let's raise the price of shopping sacks!" Is this for real??

News Annual Pass price increases June 2019

Sorry, I don't know what's going on with the 401K conversation, but that $2238 savings next year is paying for two premium economy tickets to anywhere in the world for us!

    Park Tickets + Annual Pass

Thanks for all the info, everyone! I called Disney and they reduced our package cost down by the cost of 7-day hopper tickets (which I couldn't do online) then we applied that amount to new tickets for our friends. Thanks again!

    Grand Floridian stay?

I love the property/grounds and the relaxed beach hotel vibe at Grand Floridian. I don't think it's stuffy or fancy at all, but there is a 'granmma's house' feel to the furnishings that isn't my thing. If I was looking at the room or hotel interior only, it is overpriced and I would describe it...

    Park Tickets + Annual Pass

I booked a resort package with tickets for our next visit because we didn't plan to renew our annual passes this year. But then we went in May and the magic happened and....we renewed our AP's. I totally forgot that we have tickets included in our next reservation. So now we have both 7 day...

    Garbage Can Liners

We were in a villa at Polynesian. There were definitely no little piles of extra liners sitting at the bottom of any of the wastebaskets and there wasn't one hanging over the side of any of them. There wasn't a basket in the room, just one beneath the kitchenette sink and one in each...

    Garbage Can Liners

We were at a resort last week and they didn't have trash can liners when we arrived, nor did they put them in during the daily cleaning. (We were there for a week, so I don't think it was a fluke.) We ended up using any little sack we could find, and didn't bother with the bins. But...did...

Weirdest thing to happen to you in the parks.

My friend broke my nose on a ride. We both leaned towards each other pretty suddenly to protect our faces when we were about to get splashed. She's tall, I'm not...and her elbow made contact with my nose.

    Feb 7th - What's Going On?

I spent two nights at WDW about 15 years ago when some family members were competing at UCA nationals. It was really fun, but I was 15 years younger then. :joyfull: Weird thing is there's plenty of availability from the 8th onward, it's just the 7th that booked. Thank you!

    Feb 7th - What's Going On?

We have a stay booked starting Friday, Feb 8th. It's cheaper to arrive by air late on Feb 7th, so we were thinking of just adding that night to our resort stay. But there is absolutely no availability on the night of Feb 7th. We've booked that night elsewhere now and will just move over...
