Feb 7th - What's Going On?

We have a stay booked starting Friday, Feb 8th. It's cheaper to arrive by air late on Feb 7th, so we were thinking of just adding that night to our resort stay. But there is absolutely no availability on the night of Feb 7th.

We've booked that night elsewhere now and will just move over in the morning, but....does anyone know what's going on that would totally fill the resorts on a Thursday in February?? Is After Hours at MK enough to do that?

Huge cheerleading competition, I believe it’s the National Finals of High Schools Cheerleading. That takes care of the values and some mods.

Plus a conference at the Yacht Club, which accounts for many of the deluxes, especially the Epcot ones.

I spent two nights at WDW about 15 years ago when some family members were competing at UCA nationals. It was really fun, but I was 15 years younger then.

Weird thing is there's plenty of availability from the 8th onward, it's just the 7th that booked.

Yes, it's usually due to the Cheerleader competitions..
