Fireworks looked more beautiful than ever last night. So great to have this back, thank you Disney! 🤩

News Contemporary Refurbishment--April to Sept 2021

This is a horrible room, darling. You can't be seen in this. I won't allow it. Fifteen years ago, maybe, but now? Feh!

News Contemporary Refurbishment--April to Sept 2021

Exactly. Main tower on the lake side does drop to just over $700 shortly after the Christmas holidays when bookings are traditionally slower and at that point, they might offer discounts (but haven't yet.) But during that same time, TPV Atrium Club rooms are still well over $1000.

News Contemporary Refurbishment--April to Sept 2021

Yeah, that's really the question, isn't it? Not just with the soap, but with everything about the redesign. Not whether you like it or not, but whether you like it at $1,000/night.

News Contemporary Refurbishment--April to Sept 2021

I'm sick to my stomach right now about our $963/night reservation for roughly the same time frame....I'm not sure whether we'll be keeping it. I really do love Contemporary and was so looking forward to this redesign -- I'm just stunned right now. There's not a lot of availability around that...

    News Ohana reopening July 9th

Those noodles are something to behold, but there are other problems with the menu that noodles don't solve. Thankfully....Thai Coconut Meatballs are still available at Polynesian (I think? They may have subbed in roast chicken and broccolini by now.)

    News Ohana reopening July 9th

We did the Twilight meal in the room a couple of times in the last few years, but overall, the restaurant has been off our rotation for quite awhile. It was hard to enjoy eating in such a rush. Sure, a casserole is peak 1971 nostalgia, but I can't see us going back anytime soon. N'Ohana...

    Resort housekeeping

The thin, lightweight Sobel blankets that Disney has been using for quite some time are as easy to strip and launder as the sheets. They are pulled off with the sheets in a bundle to be taken to the laundry. I don't know why a housekeeper would pull off the upper and lower sheet that...

    Resort housekeeping

I didn't really think so, but someone mentioned earlier that this used to be a daily service at values and moderates. They do a super-tight job of bedmaking in the resorts where we've stayed -- the beds can look very un-rumpled after the housekeeper makes them, so people might mistake a neat...

    Resort housekeeping

I'd be interested to know which values and/or moderates have always changed linens daily and which have been consistently and proactively providing the modified housekeeping these last 10 months. People may want to consider hotels where towels are exchanged, trash is removed, toiletries are...

    Resort housekeeping

The last time I didn't mention the resort (intentionally) someone said "I noticed you didn't mention the resort." 🤷‍♀️So I gave a bit more specific information this time so that people can set their expectations accordingly. And that expectation, based on six resort stays in the last 8 months...

    Resort housekeeping

This may be your experience, but it's still not mine. We just returned from our sixth onsite deluxe stay since reopening and this time we: took out the trash daily, took used towels to a housekeeper/cart, asked for fresh towels and some body wash a couple of times, and cleaned everything...

    Where in The World?

That's a light fixture over an order or two of Cobb Salad and Grapefruit cake....yum! It's Brown Derby. :)

News Disney MagicMobile Service coming soon beginning with Apple devices

"As more Annual Passholders return to the parks, we will no longer be renewing Annual Passes. As part of this new service, former Annual Passholders can choose from several electronic day-ticket options with park reservations that are served up from our smallest buckets ever!! Former Annual...

News Reflections of Earth confirmed to be replaced by Harmonious

Were all the people who signed off on this totally offsite and had never been to EPCOT before? Was it all a theoretical idea for everyone involved? Was it designed in a vacuum? I think it will be great at night, but by day, it's like Universal's Hulk Coaster was painted black, dropped into...

    Resort housekeeping

That reduced housekeeping policy is probably why guests like the poster above was expecting a replenishment of toiletries, vaccuming and countertop cleaning when the towels and trash were handled. It is something the policy specifically says they will be doing as part of the reduced service.

    Resort housekeeping

I've been 5 times onsite since July and this is totally our experience as well. We've had to ask for fresh towels on cleaning days and we've pretty much accepted that we are going to produce enough trash from take-out meals that we will empty it ourselves every day. But I don't think it's a...

Chef Art Smith's Homecoming, is it that good?

I can't believe someone can eat that fried chicken meal alone. You would have to be starved. I've had it twice, shared it both times and we still had some to take back to the room. One time, my niece and I worked on that meal for about an hour, the other time my husband gave me a little more...
