Transportation/Possibility to Combine Rivers of Light and Illuminations in One Night?

I'm a big fan of Rivers of Light and have enjoyed it twice, though I haven't seen the "We Are One" version. I did see it with the live actors, so I know there are some things that are already missing from the version that I liked. That's a good point about the Beach Club rather than the park...

Minnie Van Service during Extra, Extra Magic Hours

Not a bad idea, but I've decided to try and limit costs where I can. So I'm also pretty likely not doing a Minnie Van either. I was just curious for that one trip if it's worth it.

Transportation/Possibility to Combine Rivers of Light and Illuminations in One Night?

I'm doing a two-day/one-night quick solo trip mostly to see Galaxy's Edge but also to check out Illuminations one last time. I'll also be riding Flight of Passage for the first time. Assuming I can't grab an earlier FastPass for FOP, I'll be in Animal Kingdom after 7 p.m. So I thought about...

Minnie Van Service during Extra, Extra Magic Hours

I'm also curious and am following this thread in case we learn more. I'm going for a one-night solo trip and have yet to figure out what I want to do. I believe buses should start at 5:15, but I don't want to mess with that. So I've thought of Lyft or a Minnie Van.

Changes to Fastpass+ Tiers at Hollywood Studios Effective 8.29

I suspect this has to be temporary and a way to deal with expected crowds for Galaxy's Edge (which may or may not materialize). When we have three new attractions, they'll have to adjust in some way with Tier 1. Removing tiers would be great, but I'm a bit skeptical.

Oga's Cantina at Disney's Hollywood Studios

To give an update, I was able to find a 10:25 a.m. reservation for 9/7 today. There also are a lot of times later in the day. I was hoping for breakfast since I'll be getting there before 6 a.m., but this is the earliest I've found so far. I think that yesterday was a glitch; there was...

Oga's Cantina at Disney's Hollywood Studios

I wonder if calling might be easier. I feel like you'd be stuck on hold forever, but maybe it would work. The app even showed the perfect time, but when I clicked on it, it said to go to disneyworld.com. This is worse than Ticketmaster.

Oga's Cantina at Disney's Hollywood Studios

Saw a time and clicked on it again, now back on the Falcon screen. Yikes.

Oga's Cantina at Disney's Hollywood Studios

I saw the Falcon on the website for an hour, then finally got a time that worked for me. When I clicked on it, it went to another screen and back to the falcon. It's been that way for 45 minutes. Now the Paws appeared. Just the worst. Now it looks like all the times are gone.

How many people actually prefer Winnie the Pooh over Mr. Toad's Wild Ride?

The death and train is a big part of the fun. It's not a happy and boring attraction. Toad was a madcap ride that was completely different than most other Disney dark rides. Whether it's made from plywood or fancy material; it's just fun and weird in the best way.

What’s the best and worst ride in WDW?

Here are my reactions to it: Way Too Low - Carousel of Progress should be a lot higher. I'm not saying Top 10, but at least in the middle. - Same deal with The Railroad - #48 is just painful to see. - Living with the Land is one of the top 3 attractions at Epcot, possibly the best. 42 is sad. -...

How many people actually prefer Winnie the Pooh over Mr. Toad's Wild Ride?

I suspect the 24 votes may include some that never rode Toad at Walt Disney World. The Disneyland version is nice, but the Florida version was epic! Still, it's good to see Toad is at least ahead. On our last few trips, I completely forgot to ride Pooh. We never really thought much about it...

Obstructed Savannah "Standard" View at AKL

I've used the Touring Plans Room Request tool twice with the Animal Kingdom Lodge, and both times we've received obstructed standard rooms with great views. We haven't gotten exactly the room we requested, but they were close. After doing a savannah room once and not finding it that much better...

    Fall discount offer

I wonder if they're not getting all the bookings they expected for the Gran Destino Tower. I received an e-mail for a Visa discount where those Gran Destino rooms (including the Water view) would be $199 per night before tax. That's a pretty big drop from the rack rate.

    Fall discount offer

The free dining is surprising given the quick turnaround. I'm not that impressed by the fall discount, but it does say something to have discounts with Galaxy's Edge coming. I'm going for a night in September, but it doesn't fall into the discounts for Value resorts. I also tried the VISA...

Star Wars: Rise of the Resistance

I wonder if they'll do FastPasses for these for a long time. The only possibility there is with everything basically moving to Tier 1, they might shift things back when both SW attractions are online. But I wonder if they'll play it safe for a while with FP.

Is Disney unlikely to invest in buidling a "land" again?

Galaxy's Edge is definitely a big disappointment so far in terms of a draw at Disneyland. I do think we need to see what happens at Walt Disney World and Rise of the Resistance before we can put a nail in the coffin. I don't think it's going to be as nuts as expected, and it does make me wonder...

Is Disney unlikely to invest in buidling a "land" again?

I think it may depend on how things go with the upcoming attractions (TRON, Ratatouille, Guardians, Marvel at DCA, etc.) Disney has already committed to all of those, so I don't think Galaxy's Edge will change that investment. Beyond that will depend on a variety of factors including how the...

Epcot’s Upcoming Disney themed Nighttime show, is that a final straw?

ROE = Reflections of Earth HEA = Happily Ever After

Epcot’s Upcoming Disney themed Nighttime show, is that a final straw?

It will make me sad to see ROE ending, and the ultimate move to a nighttime show with characters isn't the choice I'd prefer. On the other hand, I understand the move from a business sense. While many of us love ROE and will miss it, others may want a closer Disney connection in the show. I'm...
