Transportation/Possibility to Combine Rivers of Light and Illuminations in One Night?

I'm doing a two-day/one-night quick solo trip mostly to see Galaxy's Edge but also to check out Illuminations one last time. I'll also be riding Flight of Passage for the first time. Assuming I can't grab an earlier FastPass for FOP, I'll be in Animal Kingdom after 7 p.m. So I thought about seeing Rivers of Light at 8:30 if possible. I'm definitely seeing Illuminations at 10:00 that night, so here's my big question. Is it possible to see Rivers of Light and make it to Epcot for Illuminations? As a solo traveler, I should be able to move quickly out of DAK. If so, would it make sense to get a Lyft versus the buses to avoid getting stuck?

This is likely a crazy idea, so I may not even try it, but I'm wondering about the logistics and likelihood it would fall apart.

I think this will be a tough one, assuming the show runs until 8:50/8:55, it will take you at least 7-10 minutes to walk/run to the front of the park, That takes you to 9 or 9:05, 10-15 minute shuttle ride to the car---9:20 and then 15-20 minute drive to Epcot and to Park---9:40 , then another 10-15 minutes to ride the tram in to the park---9:50/9:55, 5-7 minutes for Security----9:55-10pm and then, 5 minutes to the back of the park to see illuminations10/10:05 pm

IT WILL BE A CLOSE ONE

Now you could drive to Beach and Yacht Club and park and walk into EPCOT, ( people will say you can't do that, but you can)

I guess you could see about Minnie Van, or UBER or Lyft meet you out front of Animal Kingdom, it might cut some time to get you there right before 10

Good Luck, would love to know the result

I was not impresest with River of Lights the one time I saw it. Did a $150 meal package to get the better seating. Did not think it was worth it. Might have been the wind blowing the water curtains down for the poor showing. I did not understand the story they were trying to get across.

Seconded on Rivers of Light being passable, especially now that they've cut a lot of the live entertainment. I'd play it safe and head to Epcot after your FoP FP.

If you do choose to see both, get an uber/ride share to the Beach Club, that way you are a short walk from the International Gateway entrace and will already be at the World Showcase area when entering the park and cant head towards the lagoon to find a viewing spot.

Saw Rivers of Light once and it was nice. If you really want to see Illuminations one last time I don't think the cost of driving/parking/Uber is worth the price to see RoL first and try to get to Epcot in time. I would ride FOP take a bus to Beach Club and walk into Epcot through the IG.

I'm a big fan of Rivers of Light and have enjoyed it twice, though I haven't seen the "We Are One" version. I did see it with the live actors, so I know there are some things that are already missing from the version that I liked.

That's a good point about the Beach Club rather than the park. I'm hesitant to try it, though I'm tempted since I could move quicker as a solo traveler.
