Universal Epic Universe (South Expansion Complex) - Opens May 22 2025

I have heard that a Universal year around haunt facility at Area-15 is a high probability. It also give Universal a large attraction in the Lake Buena Vista/Disney zone.

Portions of Kidzone closing January 16, 2023

This is so Universal. Oh we forgot, we are closing Kids Zone, have good evening. If done right this could be a huge boost to this park. Hopefully a good fun family ride comes with this updated land. Maybe an outdoor version of their indoor Beijing Kung Fu Panda Land with the Journey of the...

Here is a look around Disney World after Ian. I had to drive through Disney to check on and elderly couple friends house.

News 'Beyond Big Thunder Mountain' Blue Sky concept revealed for Magic Kingdom

You are probably right, but 2027 would be in play. Maybe, if they don’t take as many water breaks. 😉

News 'Beyond Big Thunder Mountain' Blue Sky concept revealed for Magic Kingdom

Coco and Encanto would be mini lands. They could get one of those under construction by 2024/2025. They could potentially open that first mini land by late 2026 or early 2027. (If they don’t pull another Tron.) I think the Moana area at Animal Kingdom will be the first to open. It looked the...

Tokyo Disneyland seems to be doing well despite Japan’s significant population decline and lack of young workers.

    News D23 Expo 2022

I am hearing more along the lines of what they have done to Disneyland’s fantasyland attraction updates. It has already started with the update to philharmagic.

    News D23 Expo 2022

Magic Kingdom will be home to current attractions getting upgrades. I think these are going to be well received. Think Disneyland attraction updates for the Magic Kingdom.

    News D23 Expo 2022

Keep an eye on historic magic kingdom attraction(s). Several attractions really need a significant maintenance upgrade and it will give them a chance (for limited cost) to update the attraction at the same time.

    New Ignite 360 Show

Yes. I have no pictures but a lot of new floating ‘circles’ with cabling are being installed in the lagoon. With a focus from the bridge towards the waterfront. I think this is going to be a noticeable upgrade.

News Walt Disney World to resume sales of Annual Passes (New sales resume April 20, 2023)

I would wait a few months before comparing park prices. Let’s see what Universal and SeaWorld do with their annual passes now. I also think we will see a more apples to apples comparison in prices when Universal completes Epic.

News Star Wars Galactic Starcruiser coming to Walt Disney World 2021

These are starting rates. It’s like other hotel stays at Disney. These rates will only be available during the slowest part of the year and on select weekdays. Expect to pay more than the starting rates for most stays. Potentially a lot more.

    News Morocco Pavilion redevelopment

Take the Aladdin ride at MK and install it in an indoor space in Morocco. Add some projection mapping to the walls while you ‘fly’ over Agrabah and you will have a packed Morocco pavilion (at a very low investment cost). This would also relieve some congestion at the MK, give more seating area...

They could still build it at the Kids Zone area in the Studios. That was the original plans which they had submitted to the City of Orlando for permits.

Politics 28000 Layoffs coming to Disney's domestic theme parks - statement from Josh D'Amaro

Universal is packing the gate only on the weekend. That is because of locals who bought the deeply discounted park pass that is good until December 24th. During the weekdays most attractions are walk on to about 20 minutes. I would actually make the case Disney is busier doing the weekday than...

Do you think that Disney world will reclose its gates due to the rising number of COVID cases in Florida and around the country?

ifFlo If Florida opens back up the bars and throws open brick and mortor schools over the next few weeks we will look back at these types of numbers as the good old days by November. This will cause more damage to the travel industry and the state’s economy. I hope I am very wrong but the...

On layoffs, very bad attendance, and Iger's legacy being one of disgrace

While I agree that Orlando’s economy is going to take a beating from this its much more diverse than you give it credit for. It’s a major player in the air and space industry, medical industry, video game industry and has a large university structure. I would also say that Orlando’s crime rate...

Coronavirus and Walt Disney World general discussion

Easily 60% of the guest were not wearing face mask while walking around.
