2014 Epcot International Flower and Garden Festival - When Are Displays Done?

There is very little done (in public) before it actually starts. I hope you get to see even a very little, though. :)

    What's the deal with Ariel?

Don't forget cleanliness. The parks used to be clean. Those bathrooms were fantastic. Now, they're building bathrooms to hide dirt rather than clean it. :( They put in dark-tiled ceilings rather than keep them mold-free. :( It's just a whole new ball game in the parks these days.

Newbies to Orlando Choose Universal Part 2

I don't think you're crazy. :) But you're depriving yourself of fun. Think about heading over there next time you're in Orlando. :)

2014 Epcot International Flower and Garden Festival - When Are Displays Done?

If you are leaving before it begins, you will see very little...but you might see a little. I hope so!! Although it begins in March (after you leave, sadly), it just keeps getting prettier as spring rolls along. Flower & Garden is the prettiest time of the year. I just love Epcot during...

First time on a scooter- questions

Be prepared for it to take a long time to get around. You'll end up stopping a lot and trying to maneuver your way through the crowd. It takes much, much longer than walking and adds a little hassle to the day. If you're prepared for that, it will be easier to handle when it happens. I wish...

    October crowd levels....your experience please!

I would call October "crowded"...especially when compared to now. It is not the most crowded time, but it isn't dead like it was once upon a time. Back in the day, late September and October were gloriously uncrowded. It is no longer my experience. But I don't want to quibble with someone...

Not the Trip We Wanted :(

I had to leave once for a medical emergency. The airlines charged me like $150/person for changing the flight. I was worried about my son and never did the math, but Disney said I was getting a refund for all the unused nights. They were nice about it, too.

    Port Orleans Riverside

The "best" pool is probably the main one, if you have kids. They have a really good food court. I'm not the biggest Yee-Haw Bob fan, but if you have kids, they might really enjoy that. And everything is worth checking out once, some people love him! Renting a boat is nice, if you have the...

    Your Best Overheard Conversation

A couple fighting and one announcing they wanted a divorce. People really need to get more sleep, drink more water and just calm down at Disney. :) The #1 thing that cracks me up is hearing how it cannot rain for more than 20 minutes in Orlando. This is especially amusing during the rainy...

Newbies to Orlando Choose Universal Part 2

Sounds like an exceptional 17 year old, lol. Most kids don't talk like that. Not everyone loves theme parks. But those who do like theme parks (outside of these boards, lol) will generally like Disney and Uni. :)

    What's the deal with Ariel?

I don't notice a lot of broken stuff. It has to get really bad before I notice it..like Tomorrowland. I do, of course, wish they'd attend to things before things get so bad that I notice. I know they did this once, so it can be done.

Marketplace Co Op coming to Downtown Disney in early 2014

It sounds to me like a place with cheaper rents, for stores who don't want to commit to (or can't afford) paying Disney astronomical sums without seeing how they'll make out first. As long as it's all pretty and has open space, I'm all for whatever they put in. I'd like it to be more unique...

If genie grants you six wishes for WDW, what would they be?

    1. Get rid of the new waterside restaurants in Epcot. 2. Good, solid water pressure so I can always wash my hands. 3. More berries in more places. 4. More singers and dancers in shows and parades. 5. Clean it up (paint, pick up trash, clean everything, especially bathrooms and mold.) 6...

    Change one thing in EPCOT

They clog up the walkways, clutter up the views around the lagoon, cheapen and detract from the overall pleasantness of the World Showcase. They also force people to pay for previously-free views of Illuminations, but that's not as bad, IMO. Of all the things Disney has done to upset people...

    Mission Space=Big Flop?

The best thing about getting an unnecessary cardiac work up, for me, was knowing I was good to go back to Mission Space! :) I think the whole "undiagnosed cardiac problem" thing kept a lot of people off.

    Change one thing in EPCOT

I'd get rid of those new restaurants in the World Showcase. Then I'd open Wonders of Life with new (but similar) things, add all the street entertainment that was cut (and more fountains jumping around to music), put the Jeremy Irons narration back in SE, re-vamp Figment, increase the budget...
