    Backstage Wish List

Spaceship Earth : ) Actually, I would really love to see parts of Imagination, and if anything at all is left from World of Motion, or if everything was torn out. And Thunder Mountain and Splash intrigue meas far as layout goes. But I would love to see most of the rides behind the stage.

The Studios Project: Can they fix it?

Well then, by now I am sure someone somewhere has suggested most of the really good ideas all ready, so they might as well just pack it up, no? Will someone take one of these ideas verboten and reproduce it? Probably not - they're not flushed out to any detail anyway. But these may very well...

    Lights On Night?

I am reading with great interest the Spaceship Earth thread in Rumors, and how much interest can be generated by what is behind the scenes. The same usually goes for seeing Space Mountain with the lights on, etc. I understand the wish to "keep the magic", but I think they are missing out on a...

    Spaceship in Spaceship Earth

This is going way back into the far reaches of my memory, so I may be totally off base on this, but I remember looking UP at the girl as she passed overhead while you were moving backwards. Is it possible that the time when the ride vehicles turn around has changed?

    Norm Doerges

Norm Doerges was for a time Vice President of Imagineering. He was heavily involved with Epcot Center. Beyond now running a company called Apogee Attractions, I know very little else about him. Has anyone else heard of him? Anyone know anything about him?

    Pros and cons of Florida

Other than the occasional rush hour traffic on I-4, and maybe 192, I don't find that Orlando traffic even gets close to what I experience up here in Boston. I find people think the slightest bit of heavy traffic is bad down there. I also find that it's about impossible to afford a house anywhere...

    Where to sit on Airplane?

As a large guy myself, do NOT choose the exit row seats! Yes, you get a few inches more leg room. On most planes you also get less width because the tray tables are held in the armrests, which don't flip up and take up more room. And to be honest, when you're large it's the width that matters...

are there NO SAFE areas off site any more?

If anything, the area immediately around the Florida Mall is getting better. Not that it was great to start with, but... Take reviews with a grain of salt. Yeah, Kissimee isn't sweet old rural green acres, and a lot of people seem rather scared of anything that is not all Disney beautiful...

The Little Mermaid: The Ride that almost was

I don't think I have ever seen Little Mermaid all the way through. I know the basic plot line, but I have to say that not seeing the video, a lot of those scenes just didn't make a whole lot of sense to me. I like the idea of the ride - going underwater, etc., but I think they got too tied up...

    Is Airtran Airlines anygood?

AirTran does have fairly short seat pitch (the distance between seats) they run at 30", while most others are at least 31" if not 32". I believe their 737s have a inch more legroom than the 717. OTher than that, they are not really a small carrier - they are getting up there with the majors...

    Monorail Poll!

Well, I would need a lot more information before I would make a decision like that, but I don't think that is a reasonable proposition. Would the monorail connect ALL hotels and other attractions? What about minor stuff like the mini-golf places? And if so, is this a single route or multi-point...

Pleading for help with a magicless friend

It's like spending an entire week in a car dealership. Or worse, wlaking up and down a mall with a bunch of cell phone salespeople waiting to jump out at you. It gets so in your face that you get defensive about it.

Pleading for help with a magicless friend

Everybody finds magic in their own things. What one person finds magical is another person's torture. And please, do NOT get him a first time button! Just...don't.

Pleading for help with a magicless friend

I think you may be building yourself up for a major falling out over this. Forget about trying to make him like Disney - you are going to push him too much and he is going to resent you for that. The best thing I could recommend is that you DON'T get too into doing Disney! Seriously - spend some...

    The Educational Epcot

Doesn't even have any non-educational substance! It's a pleasant ride, kind of neat the first few times, but as far as the story or dialogue goes, it's about as deep as the rock fountain outside.

Are Unfairly Left Out of YOMD?

Not to burts any bubbles here, but, no they are not required to do this completely randomly. Also, this is NOT a random drawing or invovle entries, so at least this part does not get affected by those regulations. Lastly, nothing can't be done. It's just a matter of what happens if you get...

Poll: What's the worst mistake that imagineers could make at Epcot?

The worst thing Disney could do to Epcot is to give up on the idea of a more "thought" based park and convert it to just another collection of spin-off rides of cartoons and features.

Disney planning a new Western Beltway Property

Really? Maybe it's because I come from windy road central in New England, but hose roads seem so very very straight and w i d e to me. Still, even if they do nothing more than a shopping plaza, at least they show some sign of doing something with some kind of taste - if you look at...

    "Adios" El Rio del Tiempo!

Am I the only one who thinks Rio was one of the weakest rides in the park? Seriously, other than that very short section in front of the volcano, it's real value was as a retro 70's Loveboat review. Anyone see Julie? Besides fans, I don't think most people are even aware of the three...

Disney planning a new Western Beltway Property

How about a Whole Foods? They are certainly better than your average Publix, and they would be a lot more willing to fit into a village theme than a strip mall.
