    Has EPCOT failed?

I've covered this in earlier posts, so pardon my redundancy: I think WS is fine, for the most part it operates along its original mission statement-to bring a sanitized taste of other countries to the WDW public. I think refreshes of the films in Canada, China and France are long overdue, but...

    Room size/Air mattress

No worries at the CBR, brought a Coleman twin-size air mattress, and there was plenty of room between the bed and the window for the air mattress.

    Tripods

I have a lightweight tripod that straps to my Lowpro camera backpack. In February, I had no issues with security, and it easily supported by dSLR and telephoto.

Magical Express.........Do We Have To Take the Bus?

It could definitely cost you 2 hours between the wait for DME and another 30-40 minutes on the bus to the parks. IMO between the cost of a Uber to the parks and the ability to dump your bags at the bell captain, I'd prefer to take the DME route.

Fuel Rod Portable charging batteries available now at WDW kiosks

Good in a pinch I suppose. I swear by Anker products, I recently bought a portable charger for $20 that will charge an iPhone 6x, and is barely bigger than a credit card.

Imagine if there were no iPhones or iPads inside Disney attractions

I would expect in the future to see tighter integration between mobile devices and the parks, including ride customization. Disney is fully aware of the competition with mobile devices for audiences today, and working on cultivating the audience.

    Caribbean beach reviews/tips

At my last trip in Feb, the first stop was Jamaica, followed by Aruba

Uber vs. Parking vs Bus at Animal Kingdom

You may be overthinking this a touch. Bus service is fairly efficient to AK from the resorts. Also, I wouldn't necessarily classify AK as a park you need to get to at rope drop. Between the single-rider lines at EE and Dinosaur, and the fact that attendance drops around 3-4-ish, it's fairly...

    WDW to universal

I've used Uber many times without issues. Easy to book, easy to see where your driver is, easy to pay. No brainer IMO.

    Best photo spots?

There will be plenty of Disney photographers waiting at all the popular photo spots. Since you have the memory maker, don't be shy and just have fun.

    Caribbean beach reviews/tips

Location, location, location. We had a room in Aruba, and it was a quick walk to OPR. In addition, Aruba is the second stop on the park bus routes, so we never had to stand in the morning, and got off fairly quickly in the evening.

    Lenses at WDW

It's more about the speed of your lens as opposed to the focal length. I just bought a new EOS TSI, and found that my some of my older lenses have trouble keeping pace. A friend loaned me his Canon 18-200 lens and it worked amazingly both in daylight and fireworks.

    A critical look at Epcot

Even in it's original state, Imagination felt out of place with the rest of FW. Disney has never really decided if they wanted to make it a scientific examination of imagination and its results, or a full-on whimsy attraction. I personally would like to use something like Toy Story Mania's tech...

    First time Driving

We drove from Long Island a few years ago due to insane airfare prices. We left Long Island around 5 am, as I wanted to miss as many of the bottlenecks from NY to DC as possible. We were in Delaware for breakfast by 7 am, and south of DC by 10 am. We hit our overnight stop in NC by about 1...

    Christmas- Yay or nay?

Between Thanksgiving and the week before Christmas, definitely yes. From the week before Christmas to New Year's, definitely no. The crowds that week are beyond description, unless you've been to Mardi Grad or Times Square on NYE. Christmas Eve and Christmas day is basically impossible to...

    Disney's Caribbean Beach Resort

A couple of areas at the CBR I was pleasantly surprised with: Our location in Aruba (right on the water adjacent to the footpath to OPR) was serene. At the All-Star resorts, there is constant noise and traffic. Despite it being President's week, OPR never seemed like a madhouse, even at...

When do you find out your room number?

In February, going to CBR, I got a text on the DME with my room number. In May, going to the Yacht Club, I never received the text even though I checked in online. At the front desk, the cast member had no idea why I never received the text.

    Disney's Caribbean Beach Resort

It was a change, after spending the last couple of trips in the value resorts. For one, it takes some getting used to the size of the place. We had a room in Aruba, and had about a 10 minute walk to OPR, which is not bad, but still more than the 2-3 min walk to the food courts at the value...
