The article describes the cuts as "mostly complete" - ouch! My heart goes out to all of the CMs who have been handed pink slips, along with anyone else laid off due to the economy. Here's hoping for a rapid rebound!

Update: I heard late yesterday that the tentative launch date is April 10 (weather permitting).

As much as I don't like for CMs to be replaced by automation, I quickly adjusted to the automated spiel on LwtL. The differnece with the Studio Backlot Tour is now it's even less of a "real" studio (to me). I wonder if this means no more (or fewer) changes to the backlot due to the need to...

Amen! The DDP has ruined variety and degraded overall quality of food served at WDW restaurants. Like refillable mugs, it's cheaper and easier to buy the same of something, so now instead of unique, quality dining experiences, we get 'same ol', same ol' from location to location. Rant/thread...

If you don't make it into the theater for the finale show, you can still watch the finale on the huge jumbotron located outside the theater.

I'd like the mugs better if they didn't have a Coca-Cola logo on them, but just like the move to one style of mug, it makes fiscal sense.

I've done the Around the World Segway tour three times - it's that much fun! I want to do the one at Ft Wilderness next. It's only (I know - only) $85 and there is less time spent in class and more time riding the trails. Still - for a first-timer, I recommend the tour at Epcot's World...

I'm not commenting on anyone in particular, but in general, executives in corporate America are rewarded based on their ability to generate revenue. If that means cutting corners (poorer quality widgets, a 5 ounce bowl of soup replaces the 6 ounce, 2-ply toilet tissue instead of 4-ply - whatever...

Good point about marketing. I am basing my comments on official websites and fact sheets, etc from Disney media. I don't care if it's with or without Midway, but some folks were passionate about the inclusion of Midway although it is absent from most print documentation. I agree that a majority...
