You definitely won't regret your decision.

Anyone have a plan, even a loose plan for each day of the week?

I plan each day around park hours and ADRs. The only thing that is absolute from trip to trip is that the last day is spent at MK.

    Best time to go

Temps in December are highs in mid 70s and lows in the mid to upper 50s. Beautiful during the day, and you might want a light jacket or sweatshirt for after dark

    Best time to go

Go in December, as long as it's not too close to Christmas itself. The resorts and parks are all decorated, and many places have special holiday activities. The weather is nice, and if you go the first week or two in December the crowds are alright.

No Late Night at Animal Kingdom this fall?

I'd be shocked if the 11pm closing time holds throughout the whole year. May I ask exactly where this cast member worked? Did you mean Guest Relations over the phone? I'd chalk that statement up to her not really knowing what she's talking about.

Tips for first timer going next week...

I would suggest getting a FP for Peter Pan. Lines can get quite long, and they move alowly

No Late Night at Animal Kingdom this fall?

Right now the listed closing time for AK for my week in December is 5pm.

No Late Night at Animal Kingdom this fall?

Part of it is they're waiting on seeing if Rivers of Light will be ready to go. I believe that depending on which show will be playing at that time, will determine the closing times. Also, keep in mind that later in the year the closing time will be earlier than it is now. Meaning, it'll...

Anyone Going the First Week of December?

I love the party. Do you like pictures with characters? They have rare opportunities during the party: Uncle Scrooge, Jack Skellington, the Pooh characters all at once, all Seven Dwarves. In addition, you can get in a lot of ride time. Most people there are concentrating on the party stuff

Anyone Going the First Week of December?

Just a word of warning to everyone who's visiting during the holiday season for the first time. You'll never want to go during any other time of year again.

Anyone Going the First Week of December?

I've never done the CP, but I did hear a bit of it in 2013. I was passing by the amphitheater one night in Epcot, and Dennis Haysbert was the reader that night. My point being, take into account who's reading each night before you decide. I think the quality of the reader would really make or...

    Fantasmic Dining in December

I'm just going to stick with my 11am reservation in December 4. Now I'm interested to see how they'll schedule the Star Wars fireworks on that night

    Frozen Ever After opening day

How could you possibly know that?

    Wishes Holiday Dessert Party

I read on another thread recently that guests are no longer allowed to move to the railing to watch the show.

    First time Driving

Fair enough. From Jersey it's mostly a straight shot down 95 until you're in Florida. You just want to plan around when you'll hit the DC area.

    Wishes Holiday Dessert Party

I did it a year ago, and personally wouldn't do it again. It's first come seating, so you have to stand in line for a while in order to guarantee a good seat. If you don't, and you're seated way back under the roof, you won't be able to see the show. If the desserts don't matter to you...

    First time Driving

I was living in Morris County at that time. My personal preference is I'd pay to fly if the decision was entirely up to me.

    First time Driving

I've driven to Disney twice, from New Jersey and from Pennsylvania. Once you hit I-95 it's pretty much straight down until you hit I-4 on Florida.

MICKEY'S NOT SO SCARY HALLOWEEN PARTY 2016

Having an ADR during the party hours is not a good idea. You'll miss a lot of the party stuff while you're at your reservation. Keep looking and hope that an ADR time opens up for earlier in the day that day.
