I've never done the CP, but I did hear a bit of it in 2013. I was passing by the amphitheater one night in Epcot, and Dennis Haysbert was the reader that night. My point being, take into account who's reading each night before you decide. I think the quality of the reader would really make or break the show on any particular night

We are going Nov 27- Dec 4th!! Our first time checking out the Christmas season 
. So excited to see the traditions around World Showcase and hoping to check out a few resorts on our first day there as well! What other tips do people have for the holidays? (As a side note, we will not be attending the Christmas Party at Magic Kingdom.)

if you're not doing the Christmas Party, I'd recommend doing Magic Kingdom on non-party nights. On days of the Christmas Party, MK closes at 7pm for non party guestsWe are going Nov 27- Dec 4th!! Our first time checking out the Christmas season

Question for anyone who's done MVMCP; as of right now, I'm planning on going, but it's just going to be my mom and I. Do you think it's worth it if you don't have kids with you? It does sound like fun, but the tickets are almost $100 each so I wanted to make sure it's still fun for adults without little ones. I don't think I can eat $100 worth of free cookies and hot chocolate - but I'm willing to try!

I love the party.
Do you like pictures with characters? They have rare opportunities during the party: Uncle Scrooge, Jack Skellington, the Pooh characters all at once, all Seven Dwarves.
In addition, you can get in a lot of ride time. Most people there are concentrating on the party stuff

I'm trying to justify spending the money, but I know deep down it will be worth it. When we went as a family 5 years ago for my parents' 60th birthdays, my brother bought us all Mickey ears our "matching t-shirt" day. I choose the Santa Mickey ears....even though it was already January. Christmas is my thing I just wanted to make sure that the whole atmosphere was worth it, and it wasn't just extra Mickey photo ops.

Check again! The dinner was released Friday or Saturday, you should be able to get a better time now.
I checked the website a few times daily, called a couple of times, almost daily since my 180. It looked like the dinner times were all booked, but when I called they said weren't released yet- and just kept telling me to check twice daily.

Also, this could be a fluke, but who knows. I had made a regular reservation at Via Napoli for 5:25pm at the 180 day mark. After I booked my 4:15pm Candlelight Dinner Package reservation today, and canceled my 5:25pm regular reservation, I went back and checked for times again and my 5:25pm time was then available to book for the Candlelight package!

Yay on your reservation! I'm still hoping for 2 more. But giving up until closer to travel.
This is the farthest in advance that I have ever planned a trip in my life!!! It's almost worse than 2 months out. Too much time to stress and plan. The worst part- I booked DCL bc I wanted to take kiddo on a 'less hectic Disney experience'. Then I thought, well, we'll already be flying into MCO, we could do a couple of nights at WDW to see the Christmas stuff. Now I'm at 6 nights and the planning for WDW has taken over everything else that we're doing this year. I'm going crazy.lol
