Wishes Holiday Dessert Party

Who has done it?

If I go ahead and purchase it, can we just show up right before the parade and then again right before the fireworks and still be able to have a great view? Or do these parties get crowded, with potentially "bad" spots?

I'm not interested in the desserts, just saving time and having a good viewing spot for both the parade and fireworks.

I did it a year ago, and personally wouldn't do it again.

It's first come seating, so you have to stand in line for a while in order to guarantee a good seat. If you don't, and you're seated way back under the roof, you won't be able to see the show.

If the desserts don't matter to you, you're just as well to stake out a regular spot somewhere to watch the shows. It's not worth the extra cost

Love a little Disney every day!! ;)
To add even if you don't have a table with a good view you can get up and go to the railing as most do anyway to watch Wishes and have a great view. Also no I wouldn't recommend showing up right before as said its first come first serve now for a table etc. And you don't want to be lined up getting your deserts right before Wishes or during. We have enjoyed any desert party we have done including MK. It's worth doing at least once. :)

I read on another thread recently that guests are no longer allowed to move to the railing to watch the show.

I have not heard anything of this and I don't think it would be true because if you have a table towards the back of all the tables etc you can't see Wishes. People would not pay extra to not see wishes. Lol. I highly suspect this is a rumor to get people to think its not worth it. :)

That's what concerns me. The whole point of it would be to save time instead of staking out a spot. I'm more concerned with the parade than the fireworks. We'll be watching the fireworks from our room twice- one normal wishes on arrival night, and holiday wishes on another. We also have fireworks every night at our amusement park here, so Celebrate the Magic is more intriguing to kiddo than Wishes.lol But adding the parade spot makes it worth it--only if we don't have to arrive too early, which doesn't sound possible :( I'm hoping ride lines will be short before parade and wishes.

I'm really hoping that the Star Wars desert party will be offered in November/December! That one we would do the desserts and all. I'm just so conflicted because Fantasmic was son's favorite show. But I know Star Wars would trump that for him.

May 2014 it was reserved seating and folks were allowed to move to the railings..it is a great view.

We have a reservation for December. We were asked if we were aware that viewing for the fireworks is standing. Seating starts at 8:45pm parade at 9:00pm, fireworks at 10:00.
