No Late Night at Animal Kingdom this fall?

I was looking forward to a Late Night at Animal Kingdom this fall.

According to the calendars, Late Night at Animal Kingdom ends after Labor Day!

Does anyone has insight or connections to know if this will change?

It seems like they went to a lot of trouble to end it so soon. :(

It's not ending. They are waiting to extend them to see when Rivers of Light will finally debut etc. The nighttime offerings (most of them but may have tweaks here and there) are permanant so be patient and the hours will be extended at some point before then most likeky. :)

Part of it is they're waiting on seeing if Rivers of Light will be ready to go. I believe that depending on which show will be playing at that time, will determine the closing times.

Also, keep in mind that later in the year the closing time will be earlier than it is now. Meaning, it'll get dark between 5pm and 6pm, so the later closing time will probably be 8pm or 9pm

Yes agree fall and winter hours are usually shorter than spring and summer so pay likely there will be no 11pm closings In the fall at AK. ;)

We always go at Thanksgiving and every year the hours will show a 5pm closing till right before we arrive and then the actual closing time is usually 8pm, so I'm pretty sure the hours will be at least 8 or 9. Also, I did have a cast member from guest releations tell me the 11pm closure would be permanent , whether she knows what she is talking about I don't know, she said they were just waiting on Rivers of Light announcement to update the hours

I'd be shocked if the 11pm closing time holds throughout the whole year.

May I ask exactly where this cast member worked? Did you mean Guest Relations over the phone? I'd chalk that statement up to her not really knowing what she's talking about.

She was a supervisor in guest relations that called me over some issues Id had.It almost does seem reasonable when it's open till 8pm every year when we go at Thanksgiving that it would be later than 8 or 9

The rest of the fall and winter (minus Christmas week) it has always closed at 5-6pm and Thanksgiving week also stays open later due to crowds etc so I don't see the other fall and winter weeks staying until 11pm or so because even HS often in the fall and winter (minus holiday weeks) closes at 7-8pm etc. So who knows and we shall see. :bookworm::cat:

As with pretty much everything else around WDW extended to 11/5, night activities in AK have been extended with closure at 8:30pm (until the next update). Includes Harambe Wildlife Parti and Discovery Island Carnivale. (No, I don't know anything about ROL.)

I am going the last week of Oct. I usually have a plan written out for each park, which I loosely follow but do have everything I "must do or see" on it. My current AK plan will take us up until maybe 4:00 PM. From then on, depending on the official closing time, I will have to decide then what I am going to do.

We have November 27th planned as our AK day. Hoping for some news soon on ROL or even just a better sense of final park hours... We were there in May, talk about deja vu... Any idea if Disney will release their park hour updates through the week or do they typically wait until a Friday?
