No kidding. I think the hub "refurb" is great idea but, the astro-turf may not be such a great idea.

What was your impression of the hub at Magic Kingdom? Do you think it will make a difference at parade time, etc? We have not visited MK since they started so I am interested to see the difference this June.

Astro-turf + Florida heat and sun = OUCH. Unless this is a new type, that turf is going to generate a ton of heat. This should be interesting to watch. Are the Plaza Gardens intended for foot traffic? What happens when someone tries to take a seat on the blazing hot astro-turf.

Stayed at both and would say POFQ hands down. CS had a really good restaurant and market but, just way to much time walking around the resort. The river shuttles are an extra bonus as well.

I think you missed my point. It was an overall statement on Disney and the Parks. Regardless of who pushed forward with WDW, I think the current direction is not inline with Walt's vision for Disney. IMO, WDW was what Walt would have wanted until recently.

Sad thing is, this is the future of Disney and Disney Parks. The job of the executive staff is to please the board and stockholders, not us. Never really thought about the monorail beams, until now:eek:. I wonder if there are issues or how they dealt with sinking the beams into the Florida soil. How do they keep things from sinking or shifting over the decades?
