Coronado Springs or Port Orleans

Hello fellow Nutmegger.

I've stayed at both and would recommend CSR in a heartbeat! Besides having a great main pool area, CSR also offers many deluxe amenities at a mod price. They also offer business club level rooms now with lounge access.

CSR has queen beds, a sliding wooden door separating the sink area from the room (can be good for little ones napping in a pack n play) but only one sink.

Amenities include a fitness center, spa, free wi-fi, tanning beds, a sauna, salon, full menu room service and a night/dance club.

The resort offers the same toiletries as the deluxes (except GF). CSR has separate shampoo and conditioner instead of the shampoo/conditioner combo at the other mods and values (a small thing, I know, but it means I don't have to pack shampoo and conditioner).

CSR has the largest hot tub of the mods and one of the longest pool slides on Disney property. The pool, slide and playground area is great and all located in one area at the main pool.

Bus service is terrific and is not shared with another resort.

Alright Buzz. You're now on trial. I just booked a spring vacation to CSR after PORS was booked solid (sorry, it's a favorite). Your descriptions and your website have convinced me to try it. So, we'll put you to the test. I'm really looking forward to it. I think that we'll really enjoy our stay as well as walking around the lake.

3 great resorts but I must agree with the split stay people. Its a great way to stay at more than one resort and makes it like different trips or legs of a trip. Last year we did a split stay and it was great. This year we are doing it again. They will even transfer your luggage for you if you don't have a car.

Each resort you chose have different attributes that makes them special. French Quarter is definitely smaller but Riverside is absolutely beautiful. I loved taking the boat to DTD. Coronado is fun and pretty as well but it is large. Check out pics online and see which works for you. Good luck!!

Ughhh.. debating PORS vs CS next time and this thread has made me even more indecisive! I don't want to repeat resorts.. I have stayed at POFQ and Caribbean Beach.. they need another moderate in my opinion haha.. this is too hard!

Ahh, but I think you would fit perfectly in a princess room at POR, Nicole!

Ok, I will keep that in mind. My friends were considering the all inclusive package through Expedia, so I will check out the options. I have never been to any but sounds like French Quarter might be nice too as its a smaller place. Clearly I need to do a bit more research..

Thank you for your advice!
Stayed at both CSR and POFQ. I love both, but FQ is smaller, quieter, and just overall easier to access.

Really cant go wrong either way.

We stayed at POFQ last September. I absolutely loved it- small, great bar, boat ride to downtown and the beignets are amazing. I won't ever go back in September (heat and rain) but I hope to get back to POFQ this October

This Board is awesome. Always great advice!!!

Stayed at both and would say POFQ hands down. CS had a really good restaurant and market but, just way to much time walking around the resort. The river shuttles are an extra bonus as well.

We were a little nervous about trying different resorts at first but now that we go more often it's part of what makes our disney vacations feel new and different. We've stayed at quite a few now and although you can run into a problematic cm or the occasional problem with a room that can happen at any resort so we totally love trying different ones and don't think you can really go wrong with any of them.

Like others have said, I have stayed at all 3 and POR or POFQ wins hands down when compared to CSR. The biggest problem that I have with CSR is being a convention hotel it just doesn't feel like we were on vacation when we were there. If you go with POR I suggest the mansion rooms just across the bridge. If POFQ I really like a river view.

I've stayed at both resorts. POFQ has the nicer "theme" in my opinion, but CS has it's merits as well. If you choose CS ask to be in the building near the lobby. It's a quick walk to the main bus stop. (figure out which direction the bus travels around the resort to determine the best stop to use) when we stayed the bus would pick up at the lobby first and travel clockwise around the resort. By the time it left it was standing room only! Good luck either would be a good choice.
