Star Wars: Rise of the Resistance

I'm just glad we got on it at all. I can't tell you what was working properly or not working. We rope dropped last week and it was our first visit. We got to a point in the queue where we first went inside and there was a turn to the left (180 degree turn) and the announcements came on that...

    Dinosaur has seen better days

I rode Dinosaur for the first time ever this afternoon. Yeah, it was pretty jerky and rough, but being someone that has never rode it,. I didnt realize anything was busted really. My biggest issue was the queue moving TOO fast. I wanted to stop and look at the exhibits closer. :)

Is attendance really down at WDW this or…

I'm unsure what "normal" is but we had an enjoyable day today. Rope drop and Seven Dwarfs had problems waking up, but we took it really leisurely today and hit all the big stuff by 6:00. Going back to MK on Friday for some shows and see what we want to do again. But it didn't feel crowded at...

How Many Days for You? Part 12

Leave in 7 days, SO, my anxiety and stress has decided to kick into gear. Nothing Disney specific, just what happens when I travel. UGH

News Early Theme Park Entry and Extended Evening Hours coming for resort guests

Its not just Universal hotels. We are not staying at a Universal hotel for the one day we are visiting the parks. However, because my travel agent purchased our tickets for us, we are still getting the early entry perk.

Is attendance really down at WDW this or…

We are going the first time in 2 weeks in a long time. I did all the "planning things" with the anticipation there would not be availability later. Yesterday I was just browsing and 2 weeks out from our trip we can still get the resort we want for any type of room, and most resorts seem to be...

News Star Wars: Galactic Starcruiser Permanently Closed Fall 2023

When did Lucasfilm decide to take that position? They allowed "Christmas in the Stars" to happen as well as the Star Wars Holiday Special. Both exist, yet as far as I know have no impact on canon. They might want to forget that we know about those two "works", but they havent had any impact...

    American Airlines and Kids

AA says this on their website with my emphasis on "May" Last time we flew it was to DLR on SWA in 2016 and didnt need documents for the kids. Do I need to go prepared with birth certificates? Its not a problem, just something I need to know for sure.

Buzz Lightyear Space Ranger Spin - Classic or Not

I guess it depends on who you are. I visited WDW when If You Had Wings was in that location. Didn't ride Delta Dreamflight in 1992 when I was there. To me its just a replacement for something I remember riding and enjoying as a kid. So no... not a "classic"

    Magic Band and Lost Kid

Because I don't trust my 12 year to not lose his phone during the course of the day. I don't let him take it to school to even use at lunch. And if he gets separated at a place like WDW he will flake out. 14 year is slightly more responsible to keep up with her phone,. but its still a big...

'Disneyland feels classist now' - article LA Times

My first trip was 1985 I think and I was 12 or 13. We didn't stay in a resort hotel, or a hotel anywhere near WDW. We stayed at what is now Colonial Motel in 192, east of St Cloud. Google tells me its a 54 minute drive. We packed the trunk with food to cook in the kitchenette there. My...

    Magic Band and Lost Kid

When I was a kid in 1986 my parents filled out paper tags for my sister and I in the event we got lost. (They are still in the packet of WDW "stuff" from that trip). Now... 2023 if my kid gets separated, will WDW scan his magic band and call me to come fetch him at the appropriate place. This...
