Ageed. A super-fancy, long trip for my family runs about $8500 on the high end including airfare.

You have far more faith in people than I do. In general, people are 1) very stupid, and 2) will do things just so they can say they did it.

My worry is how many asshats is it going to take complaining that the resort isn't what they expected because they didn't bother to do any research and booked simply because its the popular thing to do before Disney waters down the experience to the point that it becomes just another resort.

Actually, I CAN see families splitting up their time so that the family members who really want to will have a chance to experience it while the rest of the family stays elsewhere and does their own thing...especially when you consider that for many families, paying for everyone to do this who...

I'm old school and evil. I was glad to see someone in Hollywood finally giving these "but my kid doesn't feel included" participation-trophy-giving people some straight, hard, unlikable truth. Seems to me they could use more of it.

Oh, my boys are fine with the stuff in Cars, my concern is for kids whose parents aren't proactive or involved...that the sexism and ageism could give kids ideas that they wouldn't necessarily have on their own, and that those kids could misinterpret them. Kids tend to focus on the story points...

They were issuing wristbands for those staying at the resort. Seems they're limiting fireworks viewing for the 3rd and 4th to those actually staying there.
