    Park capacity?

I'm not convinced that they aren't. Are they running all sides on rides that have that capability? If so, I think you're right. If that's the case, maybe reducing the number of reservations for the park further would help with the wait times? I do agree with the problem of capacity. They've...

Coronavirus and Walt Disney World general discussion

No worries. I'll just ask for the bacon cheeseburger and fries -- with Grey Poupon, of course.

    Park capacity?

I agree. The part I'm not understanding is why, if WDW has reservations, is it taking multiple hours in standby lines? Seems that, if you're limiting the number of people in the park, you can plan and staff sufficiently for maximum guest satisfaction. Maybe that's not their goal is with the...

News Refurbishment coming soon to Disney's Polynesian Village Resort - Moana details to be included

Why are the columns so shiny? Does it really look like that in person? I'm filing the stencils under, "Better than Nothing". The nightly rate is way too high for that file folder.

Rumor Hollywood insiders say there's growing tension at Disney as CEO Bob Chapek chafes at Bob Iger's 'long goodbye'

As much as I liked Lasseter, I think Iger knew his sins even before the Pixar purchase. This kind of stuff is passed around at that level.

News Reflections of Earth confirmed to be replaced by Harmonious

I don't know about Joe, but I haven't given the 1 cent to them since before they even started installing those things. Well, except for Disney+; DW and kids still think they need it. Sigh.

News Refurbishment coming soon to Disney's Polynesian Village Resort - Moana details to be included

Better than nothing, I suppose. IMO, I would have wood-grained the columns and then done the stenciling. Home Depot has the kit... I guess you take what you can get.

Lightning Lane at Walt Disney World

So, the strategy is to pick one (i.e. RotR) and go stand in that line while refreshing the Genie App? Seems akin to what we did with the paper passes. We'd stand in a standby line while getting a FP for something else. And, sometimes, that return time was a long time away. In this model, you may...

News 2022 EPCOT International Flower and Garden Festival

Seems management sees epcot as Disney Springs II. Don't they already have a beer garden in Germany? I would have like them keep Future World free of alcohol. But, that ship has sailed. Does anyone have a vision for what the park should be anymore? Some factions want "old epcot without the old...

News 2022 EPCOT International Flower and Garden Festival

I never saw it as a bottle neck. The pin trading kiosk? Yeah. FoN? No. It did force crowds to decide whether to go left or right though. Seemed like a good way to break crowds up. Going left was always a good idea until Frozen was built.

Shark Reef to close at Typhoon Lagoon

I agree; it made TL the GOTO waterpark for us back in the day. Aulani on Oahu has their Rainbow Reef which is the same experience -- and cold water! But, that's a bit of trip just to experience it! It definitely IS worth it though. We haven't experienced Discovery Cove. I'm hoping to do that...

Journey of Water featuring Moana coming to Epcot

Wikipedia attributes the term to Walt Disney in 1954. The concept was knocked around outside of WED as something called Elysian World in 1975. I don't have much detail on what that project contained. But, it appears that epcot was first to embrace this as actual exhibit space. Are you aware of...

Maybe as much work ordering it done. However, terrazzo is very much an artform. It's really fun to watch artisans laying and grinding a floor to a mirror finish after they've properly mixed the colors needed. Also, the frames created are impressive too. Not sure if these were done on-site or in...
