News WDW Resorts to add fees for parking

Guys, Disney believes they're in a strong enough position that they can push through these types of fees without a major effect to business. Their biggest comparison market (Vegas) has already shown them how this works out. Initial press backlash and long term upset in certain circles online...

News WDW Resorts to add fees for parking

Many of you are asking why a parking fee and resort fee rather than a higher room rate? There are several reasons for this, some of which were mentioned previously. -Keeps your rate comparable when shopping online. No hotel posts the rate including parking/resort fee in bold on a web search for...

A Terror-rific Spirited 13th (ToT fans have lots to fear)...

I'd be surprised if Disney wasn't confident that the law would never go into effect. Many major employers that were going to be impacted (which were hospitality and retail for the most part) held off on making any changes, let alone announcing anything, with the expectation that it was going to...

2016 Christmas Week Phase Closing watch

That's good, and it seems like you'll have plenty of places to walk them if they all show. I know many of the big branded hotels never saw leisure guests show up this year in any meaningful numbers. A quick look around shows lots of Marriott and Hilton hotels with availability tonight, some at...

2016 Christmas Week Phase Closing watch

Even during the day it wasn't bad. No busier than a usual Saturday as far as I could tell. I never thought I'd go near MK this weekend, but when I saw how relatively slow it looked on the app we decided to see the early parade and stroll through the park a bit. I'd hold off on calling Disney's...

Package Handling Fee added at WDW Resorts

You're already paying a package handling fee when you use one of those vendors, it's just not listed as a separate line item when you make your purchase. It's baked into the pricing, as I can pretty much guarantee that each of those providers is either paying a flat monthly fee, a commission, or...

    Snack price increases?

I can't speak for the package business, but if the guest makes it to Florida without purchasing tickets, it's almost a guarantee that they are buying 1d, regardless of if they purchase at a park ticket window or from a 3rd party seller (Concierge desk, visitor center, etc.) Remember, WDW's...

Holidays Around the World at Epcot 2016

And apparently Disney wasn't ready for it. The park ran out of several of the Holiday F&B offerings before the start of the evening. Tamales, fondue, gluhwein, all 86ed for the day prior to 5 or 6pm and there may have been other items out as well. I only know about those specific ones because I...

    Customer Service area?

Make sure you leave your name, address, telephone, and email to have the best chance of actually getting a response and knowing that your letter was received.

    Customer Service area?

You don't really have a leg to stand on here, and your details are completely wrong (probably not on purpose, just don't understand how things work/the structure at Disney). Also, you were escorted out because you no longer had any business in the park because you didn't have a ticket anymore...

I really hate filling out the tip before my card is run...

I don't think there is a server on earth that wouldn't prefer a cash tip.

    Wave at Disney's Contemporary Resort

It's only busy right now because of free dining. Before that started it was one of the easiest restaurants to book on property.

What is it the Universal does BETTER than Disney?

Fair enough. Then let's go with the hideous CM costumes I'm subjected to, the pain of switching turnstile operating modes at 4pm (which keeps anyone from being able to enter the park for 5 -15 minutes), and wristband distribution sites clogging up walkways. The latter two bother me more as a day...

What is it the Universal does BETTER than Disney?

That's not the same thing at all. Your original complaint about Universal and my observation about Disney were examples of how hard ticket event can sometimes cause issues/be unsightly during day operations. A construction crane for a new attraction is another issue entirely.

What is it the Universal does BETTER than Disney?

But you do see a giant crane next to the castle in August to put lights up for Christmas.
