Steam Trains Tour

I am planning to take the MK Steam Train Tour in December. Saw on several reviews that getting to the MK before hours can be a 'challenge'. I wondered if anyone had advice on how to get to the MK front gate by 715am - especially if Disney Transportation is not yet running. FYI, I will have my own vehicle. Appreciate your input!

If you have your own vehicle it's pretty easy, just park at the Contemporary and walk over.

If you don't have your own car then I guess the best option is a taxi. I had to do this when I took surfing lessons at TL (had to arrive around 6.30am I think). The taxi driver was very keen to point out that TL was a water park and closed though!

I believe if they ar erunnign it then there will be transportation to MK, either Bus, Ferrry or Monorail. That's what they have done in the past.

I wouldn't park at the Contemporary. You can park at the TTC, and take the monorail. The Resort monorail starts running at 7AM. There are also Breakfast buses that start running at 7AM that can get you to the Magic Kingdom, but you might be cutting it close to get there at 715.

However you arrive...please..please post some pics..I want to take my Dad to see this, he retired from the Southern Pacific Railroad years ago and this would be a great tour for him!
