It’s also issued as recovery if you’re in line past Merge and the attraction goes down and has to dump the queue, and they’re also issued as perks for Club 33 and Golden Oaks members.
There could obviously be other factors to it (maybe people are less likely to ask for Celebration buttons during a pandemic, maybe there are less cast members actively hanging buttons out), but seeing families wearing “First Visit” buttons these days is pretty much nonexistent. It’s usually...
Agreed. They’ll have to find a way to get creative soon. With boarding groups released at rope drop and no park hopping currently, almost the entirety capacity for the park has entered the turnstiles by the time the park “opens” at 10:00 am. The lines are atrocious for everything while everyone...
They still allow indoor unmasked dining which is significantly worse than an indoor masked singalong. But if it were me I wouldn’t feel comfortable at either.
You say “made them play” as if it would have been better to have left them on furlough and then fire them instead and not give them those 2 months of pay and performances and a final show?
Disney already mentioned them in regards to holiday offerings at Epcot. While not unheard of, sure would be weird to mention them returning if they were planning to fire them before then.
Never said they couldn’t return to the Grand. Just saying Disney never cared about that. The Orchestra was furloughed. Beauty and the Beast was supposed to come back. Equity never came to an agreement. So the Orchestra got pulled from furlough to put on a temporary show in the Theater of the...
While sad, this is merely timed to the Equity performers returning to their shows at the start of the fiscal year. It’s sad that Disney couldn’t find a place for them at the Grand or somewhere else, but at least they were able to play for 2 more months than they would have been able to play if...
I was at Springs yesterday and noticed changes in this area. Outside Splitsville across from the upcoming donut store they’ve started to remove the concrete and replace it with gravel. Guess it’s related to this project.
Frozen has always received high guest scores and is probably easy to pull off since it’s only 5 performers who are already well spaced out. Shouldn’t require many changes and should still be fairly cheap due to the limited number of actors.
With the return of Savi’s and the Dapper Dans, it sounds like Equity is starting to come back. Perhaps once the shows at DHS are ready to go they’ll make an announcement about the return of all those venues and possibly increase hours then.
