Mickey's not going anywhere. Little Radok #2 is an avid Disney Channel watcher and they program Mickey hard, including overdubbing his old cartoons with awful tweener 'songs.' There's an obvious effort to maintain interest in the character and his friends among the little set.

As much as I'd like to see this project wither on the vine, I think you're right. The park opening will sync up with one of the sequel release dates, whenever those happen.
