Is attendance really down at WDW this or…

I always figured wait times at the end of the day were intentionally inflated. The kids running the ride want to go home so they discourage new riders by posting a long wait time. Running a ride for an hour or two after close has to be depressing when you're so close to that end of shift beer...

No one goes on the 4th it's too crowded. Internet says. It'll probably be packed this year as everyone just heard it's dead. "Top strategies for your Disney vacation"

New DAS System at Walt Disney World 2024

I agree, you need to know if DAS is available before you buy your plane tickets. Some things can be cancelled but for someone who is flying there is a big expense that's for the most part "sunk". OTOH this was true before the current changes, it just seemed easier to get DAS.

New DAS System at Walt Disney World 2024

Also I lament the practice of running rides at partial capacity at open. If they were running full tilt from the get go lines would build up slower and more people could ride.

New DAS System at Walt Disney World 2024

The forum is speaking about DAS as if it's gone. I think it is alive and well but slightly altered. We'll have to wait for Len to run some new numbers to be sure, it'll be a while as some still have outstanding "old style" passes. A tour operator used his/her DAS pass for 10 paying guests...

    “Something major” coming to DHS???

If an Imagineer were to take this on there's a chance they would get NO credit for it. Half the internet would proclaim "that's my idea". That's no way for an ambitious Imagineer to put their stamp on a major project. This may contribute more to the unattractiveness of this project than we realize.

News Tiana's Bayou Adventure - latest details and construction progress

Risky, could take down the internet for the eastern US. But seriously, there may be a tech hurdle involved, which means ut-oh spaghetti-o. True story: on a trip a semi full of spaghetti-o caught fire and closed the freeway. Waited in line for hours. That phrase has had meaning ever since...

News Tiana's Bayou Adventure - latest details and construction progress

I guess the game when choosing a date is to spread the demand out a little. With the fourth on a Thu, there will be a certain amount on inelastic demand that whole week. There are also many who are going for TBA opening day no matter what. So I think any weekday that previous week 24-28 would...

News Reflections – A Disney Lakeside Lodge (Project 89 - Development near Fort Wilderness)

When I first heard about the Riviera resale restrictions, I thought to myself they couldn't be resold at all. Basically if I buy this I'm trapped I have to keep it. And yet so many agreed to be trapped and paid for the priviledge. No wonder every resort includes DVC, the buyers are apparently in...

News 'Beyond Big Thunder Mountain' Blue Sky concept revealed for Magic Kingdom

Frontierland ls being forced out of it's current location by the expansion of New Orleans theming. But they still have BTMR and Tom Sawyer that are vaguely western, so pushing Frontierland a bit just to the NW could create a themed area while using some existing (free) stuff. I could imagine a...

News New Polynesian Resort DVC villas building to open 2024

Building vertically here does allow a lot of people a nice view of the park, which is sort of a good thing. Many on here are looking to stay there. I think my only real complaint is calling it "Polynesian", which it really isn't. Unless you count Singapore part of polynesia. They should have...
