Any new pictures?
If anything it looks worse driving up Floridian. All the tall vegetation is gone so it's just a mishmash of rooflines.Any new pictures?

Luau makes bank.....Thoughts:
Thé paint is helping, and I think the additional dining amenities will be welcomed, however
I would have built it on the current parking lot with a breezeway connecting it to the GCH, this just makes it feel lopsided and that’s my biggest issue with it.
Also what’s this rumour I hear about a new luau…?
Animal kingdom lodge and boardwalk both looked identical at a certain point in their construction too.Does anyone else feel like it looks really similar to Riviera? I’m trying not to judge too much until it’s completely finished.
That’s good to hear. I’m hoping once it’s past the bare bones stage, it will look more unique.Animal kingdom lodge and boardwalk both looked identical at a certain point in their construction too.
it is just sculpted stucco type finish on the concrete...definitely not real wood...I do like the wood grain (or is it real wood?) they seem to be adding. Hopefully they do more with the awning at the top, to give it more decorative detail. If they can do something in the same vein as the roof of the GCH, that could work.
The only thing anyone is seeing at the MK is the top half of the castle, SM and Tron. It is too far away to see anything else.Building vertically here does allow a lot of people a nice view of the park, which is sort of a good thing. Many on here are looking to stay there.
I think my only real complaint is calling it "Polynesian", which it really isn't. Unless you count Singapore part of polynesia.
They should have called it the "Grand View Hotel" or something, because that is exactly what you're paying for.
Maybe they could offer the Polynesian faithful an olive branch and tear down the Bungalows to give us that stretch of beach back. Now that they can "sell views" down the beach a bit.
For the amount of money they are paying to have their wedding there I don't feel sorry for them at all. They can afford to find another place if this view bothers them that much.I feel terrible for anyone getting married at the Wedding Pavilion. What a disaster.
This is a good point. Disney's prices are so high, folks can find MUCH MUCH better venues for less money. For the amount of money they are paying to have their wedding there I don't feel sorry for them at all. They can afford to find another place if this view bothers them that much.
It looks like a building under construction, which it is.Looks not so nice from the monorail. I can see a new game of skill for hairbands on top of the wedding chapel starting up.
