    Water in park

Being a local I guess I am used to the "flavor" of fountain water at WDW. Some fountains are better than others; for instance, the fountain across from the Primeval Whirl at DAK is just about always very cold and flows strongly. We freeze our bottles and continually fill them up with the...

    Phone Screens in Dark Rides

First of all I can't stand any light on a dark ride. It's a dark ride for a reason. Sadly there are a number (fortunately small but still it only takes one) of selfish people who honestly don't care about anyone but themselves. I often wonder why they even bother with an attraction they don't...

Lack of Attention to Wait Times?

I think some of the erratic wait times can be traced back to MDE as well as the Red Card system which will always be somewhat behind. The other day we were at DAK and the wait time for EE was shown as 10 minutes (on MDE) as we were leaving The Festival of the Lion King. I have to believe a lot...

    What Would You Ban?

ECV's than can travel faster than normal walking pace. I thoroughly understand mobility issues but bombing around at 6-8 mph in crowds is far from safe.

If you could revive one thing at WDW...

MK - The sky ride; EC - Food Rocks!; DHS - Backlot Tour (especially "Harbor Attack") and perhaps the Millionaire Game Live. Bonus - Poly - Bring back the Coral Isle Cafe. Just too many great memories over 30 years to hit them all.

    CM Free Admission

If you are a new CM, the whole process is explained quite well on The Hub.

    An abandoned WDW

There was a TV show on the History Channel (don't know if it's still on) called "Life after People". This would have been a good episode. Only problem is that I think Disney is somehow involved in the ownership. Fortunately this will never happen in any of our lifetimes.

Anyone ever fly into Tampa? So much cheaper!

I've picked up friends who have flown into Sanford with substantial savings over MCO or TIA. I think it all depends on your situation but it's certainly worth looking into any time. Of course, my transport to Disney was "complementary" so you certainly have to weigh everything in making a call.

    Fireworks Snob

To say "WDW knows fireworks" is one of the biggest understatements possible. Illuminations/Wishes/Fantasmic on any random mid-week night beats 99.9% of any fireworks show anywhere else.

Rope Drop or Late at Night? Or Both?

The Magic Kingdom is even more magical later at night. Once "Wishes" is over a ton of people bail leaving the park very easy to move around and the queues shorten up a bit. Of course everything looks better at night (including me!). Rope drop does have the advantage of being able to get in a...

NY Times: A Disney World Vacation in One Day

A bit of a pure fluff piece but still kind of fun. I'm sure his word count was severely limited so he had to make every line count. Either that or his editor used his elbows to edit it.

    Test Track: v.1.0 vs v.2.0

I absolutely loved the "old" version, but the car design in the newer version is fantastic. Within my family it has developed into a bit of a friendly "competition" between me and my daughter versus my wife and son or the wife and me versus the kids. Since we generally pick up two single...
