I know you get free admission to the parks as a CM. How do you get into the park? Just show your name tag at the front gate?

You're CM id is your ticket into the park (as of 2014) Your Main Gate is now separate cards given to friends and family and must be returned to you. Does anyone know if that's changed?

Within like 2 weeks of employment you should get you main entrance pass and your guest passes (usually three unless the amount of dependents you have allows you to have more). They are different than your ID. You use your Main Entrance Pass like you would a regular park ticket. Your ID can be used to get into the park (through the Main Entrance) only within the first week or two of employment (just let the turnstiles cm know that you were just hired, they may call over a GR cm to verify your ID).

The CM ID can't get them into the parks since the tap/touch gates went 100%. They were given a new set of "Main Gate/Guest Passes" to be used with that system. They were also given a magic band to attach to their new Main Gate.

For the first two weeks or so of being a cast member, you can show your cast member ID and they will give you a normal looking "day-ticket" just like a guest each time you wish to go to a park. That way you can still get fastpasses and such. Within two weeks or so of being a cast member, you should get your main entrance passes in the mail. As a cast member, you get one main entrance pass for yourself and a certain amount for friends/family depending on what your status is as a cast member. On the college program, we were given six days to get three guests into the park. The guest passes do come with blockout dates (Magic Kingdom was blocked out for almost all of summer), but cast members can use theirs practically any day, the exceptions being 24 hour days, days where the park reaches capacity, and any time where the park is closed for a special event (Christmas/Halloween parties). Cast members also get extra complimentary tickets around holiday time.
