Oh, you wound me. I actually do care about society. I am not completely blinded by Covid fear like so many. I see the consequences of our actions, I wish others would as well.

I lost a friend to it. I also lost a friend to lockdowns. Reel yourself in.

Weird. It’s almost like the virus is doing normal virus things regardless of non pharmaceutical interventions. It also helps that Florida didn’t impose lockdowns onto their populace therefore keeping the death rate down.

Yep, knew this would come up. NYT is making the claim that lockdown deaths didn’t happen. That our actions didn’t cause suffering rather then reduce it. It’s predictable, and frightening.

If only. This isn’t how the counts work though. Very creative work with those numbers. Impressive fear mongering. It’s a combination. It’s a lot of incompetence, it’s a lot of malice, it’s a lot of looking out for the hospitals bottom line.

On layoffs, very bad attendance, and Iger's legacy being one of disgrace

Sorry can’t, down the shore this week. Not much social distancing, very little mask compliance. Guess a spike is coming. Prob just gotta wait two more weeks.

Testing down 12% cases down 19%. That’s not confounding. It’s straightforward. Less sick people.

Except you’re wrong. As the lag is shrinking. We have already peaked in deaths per day in Florida. Don’t let the facts effect your paranoia though.

Thankfully, those states aren’t locking down. Weirdly their hospital data and case data are falling off a cliff, all the while their deaths have never even sniffed the northeast levels. I’ll let you decide what that means.

How’s Florida looking? Arizona? Sweden? Lockdowns work, right?

No. Covid response is causing a rethink. The virus is anecdotal.

Alright, this is bad for my mental health, @GoofGoof @Andrew C @willtravel I’ll see you guys on the other side of this. I’ll swing through in a month and we can compare Florida/Georgia to NY/NJ and see who handled it better. Enjoy the rest of your summers.
