Universal Epic Universe (South Expansion Complex) - Opens May 22 2025

Universal has never actively courted the stroller brigade, but they do provide some things for toddlers to do. HTTYD will have a stage show, a playground, and M&Gs. The Hub has the carousel and a Splash Pad. SNW has Yoshi and a playground in Donky Kong. There is a stage show in Potter (may be...

Who else is anticipating Epic Universe?

Yeah, the Gerstlauer Sky Fly and the Mack Splash Battle are the only 2 off the shelf rides. The carousel is a custom design patented by Universal.

New American Heartland Theme Park in Oklahoma

I think a theme park alone in that location would not be successful but teaming it up with a indoor waterpark resort and a RV Resort and campground could work. Especially if the RV Resort offers it's own entertainment like Hay Rides, Horseback Riding, and campfire stories/s'mores. I like that...

Villain Con (Minions) ride to replace Shrek 4-D (rumor)

Pretty much my reaction the first time I rode TSMM. Not really a fan of shooter rides

While Gene Bicknell, the founder of the project only has a net worth of about $250,000,000. His son, Marty Bicknell, is sitting on a cool $22 Billion.

Is attendance really down at WDW this or…

In the '70s/'80s, Disney was, not really luxury quality, but far exceeding middle class quality, think old school Holiday Inn. Which were on the nicer side of places where you would stay on a cross country "Family Vacation". But still solidly in the middle class price range. Alas, the world has...

Universal Epic Universe (South Expansion Complex) - Opens May 22 2025

A very similar attraction opened at Harry Potter New York (since closed), and Universal didn't want to seem derivative. And they are working on another attraction for Potter/Paris@Epic Universe.

Is attendance really down at WDW this or…

Just to show some viable options to a WDW vacation, there are some really good deals out there right now. Like $1,554 for 2 people for 4 nights/5 days at a 4.5 star all inclusive resort on the beach in Punta Cana, Dominican Republic, including flights. Or if you really want to kick it up a...

Universal Epic Universe (South Expansion Complex) - Opens May 22 2025

Frankenstein, Dracula, Mummy, Wolfman, and The Creature From The Black Lagoon are Universal's Mickey, Minnie, Donald, Goofy, and Pluto. Jaws and Jurassic Park carry on the tradition. Universal has been makeing people scream from their beginning.

Is attendance really down at WDW this or…

There is a FL Res. 4 Day deal that has an ad playing in heavy rotation on local Orlando TV. I have seen it 3 times in the past hour.

Universal Epic Universe (South Expansion Complex) - Opens May 22 2025

And Potter will have the wand thing. I think Epic's line up is pretty strong for a new park. 4 Coasters (3 Family, 1 Thrill) 3 State of the Art Dark Rides 1 Interactive Kids "Dark Ride" 2 Theater Shows 2 Flat Rides 1 Interactive Boat Ride 1 Fountain/Night Show 1 Playground Interactivity in...

Is attendance really down at WDW this or…

As far as the crowds at Uni this week. Dockside, which is Uni's most affordable resort, is at about 85% occupancy. Which, for the first official week of the Summer travel season, is surprisingly light. Also I have been pricing out an August trip to the Keys, and a resort that was charging...

I think “The Magic” is mostly gone for me…

I live 12 miles away from WDW and the last time I was in a park at WDW was right after RotR opened.

2 bad changes that Disneyworld has made that most of you havent noticed!!!

I stayed at Avanti International Resort on I-Drive this past Sat. night for $81/night. The room had a microwave and a fridge. And this is me in the room. A pretty standard double queen room (sorry, no shot of the microwave). I actually think in room microwaves were more common 5-10 years...
