    Resort Help Please!

My DS always loved the Contemporary because of the monorail, the walk to Magic Kingdom, Chef Mickey’s etc. that would be my first choice. If however proximity to MK is not the biggest factor another resort to consider is Animal Kingdom Lodge. Many think it is “way out there.” It has unique...

    Souvenir suggestion for CoWorkers?

A co-worker knew I was a big Disney fan. She asked me lots of questions and for advice before her trip. When she got back she brought me a Mickey mouse key ring as a keepsake to say thanks. It was nothing big or expensive but I still have my keys on it 10 years later. She thought enough of me to...

What is your favorite WDW Restaurant ?

Whispering Canyon for all the craziness, however we haven't been there in awhile and have heard it has been toned down. California grill has always been our go to restaurant for birthdays etc. Lots of good memories there.

    Thoughts on The Plaza?

We liked it for a burger and a shake. DW and I agree it got to "foo-foo" for our tastes. IMHO there are better places for breakfast, e.g. Kona Cafe or Grand Floridian Cafe close enough so we have not been there for breakfast.

    Very Nervous This Trip

I suggest not only making a plan/spreadsheet but also sit the adults down and get their buy in. From past experience with a family grand gathering trying to get everyone to agree on rides, meal etc. Is like herding cats and will eat time.

    Victoria and Albert's Surprise

I told her the week before we left. She was happy about V&A bit and just a little bit angry about the short notice. I wrote a brief trip report if you are interested.

Do you try new restaurants when you go to the world? What's one you keep saying you're going to try.

We have some that we eat at every visit like breakfast at the Kona cafe. Many favorites where we will eat at a few of each trip, California grill, yachtsman. We do how ever attempt to try something new each trip.

    Empty Attraction Experiences

One trip right after Thanksgiving. Arrived there Sunday and the parks seemed empty for the first few days. Walk on or short wait times for everything. By Thursday it started to get busy.

If you had to pick your 3 best TS meals in EPCOT WS...what would they be?

Having recently eaten there, Monsieur Paul would be first on my list with Tutti Italia second and Rose & Crown third. R&C may not be on anyone else's list but I enjoy it.

    Food obsession-good or bad?

I have mostly seen scrapple in the the Penn-Dutch county of PA. As to the food obsession, I like to dine well on any vacation. To me dining is part of the vacation, (I don't have to cook).

Trip Report Our Second Secret Trip

My DW and I have just come back from our 2nd “don’t tell our DS we went to Disneyworld without him” trip. The boy is in college and what he doesn’t know won’t hurt him, but I digress. We stayed at the Dolphin and as our friends from England say It was “very nice indeed.” We enjoyed a clean...

    Fill in the blanks!

I have been to Disneyworld 20 times and have never tried Cinderella's Royal Table because, one I had a DS with zero interest, two my DW though it was too much of a hassle to get reservations and three we all agreed the menu was nothing special.

As many problems and goings on at Disney...

In the words of Michael Corleone "just when I thought I was out they suck me back in again. Every non Disney vacation we take seem more and more stressful. We always go back.

I Need Some Help Picking A Gift For Mom

I purchased a citizen watch for my DW. It has a small mouse (you know who) in gold in on corner. She wears it all the time and fellow Disney freaks always notice it.

Dinner at MK during Mickey's Very Merry Christmas Party?

I have to agree with the others. When we did MVMCP we had an early dinner at LTT then walked out of the restaurant and into the party.

Noob Mistakes You Made During Your First WDW Visit

Our Disney moon a long time ago my DW would not wear a hat and did not like the taste of the water resulting in her passing out. After the first day she did hydrate and wore a hat. I don't know if it was a mistake but we also managed to produce a little souvenir we named Jake.

    Wdw waterparks

The water parks are purely a matter of taste. My DS always like Typhoon Lagoon better than Blizzard Beach. He liked the wave pool more that the water slides. My DS is however part dolphin and loves to body surf, but I digress. Between the two I always liked the lazy river in Typhoon Lagoon...

Craziest thing you've done in the name of planning

I used to make a spreadsheet of every article of clothing I was bringing. I would put extra changes of shirts in case I spilled on one etc. I found i was bringing way too much stuff. Now I pack my carryon and plan on a laundry trip. Those $30.00 bag fees were killing me.
