    TouringPlans Spread

Thanks Len, that's great! I'm actually on the plane right now in mid air and can't wait.

Help: 50's Prime Time or Captain's Grille??

Originally we were planning on staying at DHS but I think we're now leaning towards heading to Epcot after the meal. With that plan I'm thinking we try out the Captain's Grille if for nothing else than to try something new.

    TouringPlans Spread

I am an Unofficial Guide and Touringplans sworn devotee and will be heading to WDW this coming Thursday (12/16). Last night I was checking the touringplans crowd calendar for my trip and I noticed that the individual park crowd levels have a significant spread. For example, on one day Animal...

Help: 50's Prime Time or Captain's Grille??

Hello all, Question, ... We'll be in Hollywood Studios for a full day/night and are trying to make a decision about dinner. As of now we have ADR at Captain's Grille. We've never been there before and don't know what to expect. The other possibility that is floating around in discussion is...

    Touringplans.com

I've always been more than happy with The Unofficial Guide, TouringPlans.com as well as 'Lines'. As stated before, the predictions are based on data and it would seem at any time that Disney could do something to affect those parameters (unexpected promotions, etc.). I'm sure the touringplans...

    Who's been to Sanna?

We have a 6:55pm dinner ADR with absolutely no place to be for the rest of the night, so we plan on taking quite a bit of time to savor, maybe chat it up with the staff, etc. As for our party's culinary tastes. We span the gamut really. From "not very adventurous" to "bring on the new"...

    Who's been to Sanna?

Taking an impromptu trip next month and we've decided we'd like to try Sanaa. Does anyone have advice? We're not really familiar with Indian cooking, so looking at the menu I can't even imagine what the dishes look or taste like. That being said, can anyone offer some of their favorite...

Artist Point, Wave, or Whispering Canyon?

I'd rate these choices with Artist Point taking 1st, The Wave following closely 2nd and the Whispering Canyon a distant 3rd. As many have stated already, the first two are in a different category type. Artist Point and The Wave you go to for the food, Whispering Canyon is more about the...

Studios hours extended for August 2010 and Fantasmic! performances added

I just noticed, on the official website, they also upped to multiple showings of the Electrical Parade on some of the days the park is open until 11pm (such as August 10). At least since the last time I checked.

    Bay Lake Tower Room Requests??

Thanks Yoda! I'm going to have that note added to my reservation asap!

    Bay Lake Tower Room Requests??

Thats what I was thinking, but its always best to confirm with someone in-the-know. Do you know if there is a best way to ask for this (ie. certain room numbers? odd? even? etc) or should I simply ask for a room on a high floor in the "Center of the Building's Arc"?

    Bay Lake Tower Room Requests??

I've read some trip reports that suggest that certain room numbers offer a glimpse of both the Bay and the Park. Since the resort is in a semi-circle shape I was wondering which location on that arc offers the best view of the lake. Would it be in the center of the arc or the ends?

    Bay Lake Tower Room Requests??

Hello All, We're staying at BLT in August and we have reserved a 1BR Villa Bay View. My question: Are there any requests I should make regarding room location? Of course I've read that everyone should request the highest floor possible, and we will do that as well. But other than height...

Walt Disney World to build 2,000-room Hotel: Disney’s Art of Animation Resort

I love this. With my family growing bigger lately and traveling with friends - we can't afford to stay in a DVC Villa year after year just to be comfortable. Now we might be able to switch it up and maybe do every other. On year we can splurge and the next we can save a little while still having...

    Alcohol Question

That's actually perfect! $20 for a set of two is absolutely reasonable especially since we can use them over and over. I expected it to be bigger, but I like the size of those since they can nestle in between other soft luggage without adding too much bulk.

    Alcohol Question

Thanks Dave. I'm guessing that perhaps one of us can pack up two or three bottles in the luggage and bring our own. Does anyone know of any good travel products for wine bottles? We could probably just wrap bottles in plastic bags and then bath towels, but I'll bet there are some decent hard...

    Buying beer in WDW

What about if we're staying at the Contemporary? Is the bus to DTD and the stroll over to Hess still our best option? As a sidenote, I imagine we'd appear rather odd on the bus ride back with a case of beer on our lap :)

    Alcohol Question

Steve said earlier that the Deluxe resorts sell wine. We are staying at BLT in August. Does anyone remember what kind of prices we're looking at if we buy a bottle of wine at the Contemporary?

    Signature Restaurants w/Kids?

Thanks for the advice! I noticed too that Artist Point was quiet. It sounds like either of the places we're looking at currently should be ok and maybe I can select based on menu alone.

    Signature Restaurants w/Kids?

I've looked at the menus and I think I'd like Citricos better too.
