    This is the best time....

Have a great time. I agree with you 100% the excitement before a trip when you know you're going is truly intoxicating. I wonder sometimes if I don't love the planning and anticipation almost as much as the trip. It's a great feeling.

Coming back to the Orginal Land in May

Hey all, I'll be coming back to Disneyland for a visit from May 26th - 28th, 2011. My itinerary takes me from Ottawa (hometown) Canada to Las Vegas for a few days, and then I rent a car and drive to Anaheim arriving on the 25th. My three days in the park are a Thursday, Friday...

    Fast Pass ?

If you're one of the first people to grab a fast pass usually the return time starts about an hour after the park opens. To answer your specific question, no you can't get a fast pass, line up come off and ride again with your FP right away.... well not unless somehow the line is already an hour...

Le Cellier Steakhouse dinner becomes 'Signature Dining' - see the new menu

LC isn't worth a signature restaurant pricing. Value has definitely gone down. Oh well! Such is life. As per figments sentiment, vote with your dollars folks. Don't go if you don't think the value is good. Disney won't change their practices if the restaurants stay packed. Do the math, figure...

Am I the only one who misses 20,000 leagues under the sea?

Disneyland has the Nemo submarine ride in operation. Not the same but similar experience.

Would Spectro Magic ever be able to live up to the Electrical Parade?

done to death This debate kills me every time. So fun to read everyone's opinions, many of them posted as fact. Anyway, I saw MSEP in June, was very excited to see it, as I had never seen it before, even went opening weekend. Disliked it immensely. I couldn't have been more bored or...

What is the first thing you buy?

Nice question I really like the question, makes me think about my trips which really makes me smile. For me the first thing I buy down in Orlando when I get there are supplies at Walmart. A couple cases of bottled water for the parks, a few beer for the room, snacks to bring in the parks like...

USA TODAY - Long Lines May Be The Thing Of The Past

interesting idea I like seeing things evolve. Change is scary but with it come great things. My only mild concern right now is whether I'll have the technology to take advantage of whatever they roll out. I don't own a smart phone and don't usually travel with my laptop unless it's for...

Harry Potter IS making a difference!!

LOL - it was a knock on Universal... 175 people... quite funny indeed. Implication being that Universal is rinky operation, which we can all agree isn't true, but nevertheless pretty funny.

    The Potter Affect......

Definitely Went to WDW in June, and spent a day at Universal. Unfortunately WWOHP wasn't open yet, though I had already booked the tickets based on some earlier news that it was opening in late May. Liked Universal, but wouldn't beat my way back. That said, I'm heading down again in early...

    Almost time... Oct. 11th DLP

Impressions Well I'm back from my first visit ever to DLP. It was a one day organized attack at both parks and we were pretty successful in seeing most things we wanted to experience. My overall impression of the parks is that they are beautifully designed and stunning visually. The Castle...

    ECV Rumor

LOL - Extremely entertaining thread... Now everyone out of my parks! he he he Tolerance, acceptance, understanding and politeness goes a long way to creating more enjoyment for yourself and others while in the parks. As for the large ECVs, hey if they don't fit, you can't bring them...

    Spectro-Magic

Oh yes!! The point you're missing is that you were quoting me "about emotion and misses the mark" and you misquoted it. I wasn't making a statement to cast dispersion on one persons opinion over another. Furthermore, my post was designed to explore what people enjoyed about MSEP seeing as how...

    Almost time... Oct. 11th DLP

Well, the time has almost come for my first DLP visit. It's just a day so I'll be trying to jam in a lot of things. I'm getting the Park Hopper and will try to experience most of the "big" hitters. I've done quite a bit of reading on these posts and elsewhere with regards to what to see, but if...

If you're going to quote someone... get it right. What I said was "As a fan of Disney who is all about the emotion of how the parks make me feel, I can say that MSEP completely misses the mark for me." As you can see, it was a comment about my own personal taste, it wasn't a sweeping comment...

New WDW Experiences? Just took a survey online.

Again, it comes down to differences. I too would like more attractions, but enhanced experiences could be pretty cool too. Thinking about the experiences from the past that were added, like the backstage tours, segway tours, bibbity-bobbity boutique, even character dining, all have had...

New WDW Experiences? Just took a survey online.

What???? You're a little jaded I think. This looks exactly like how Disney would do a market test of new ideas. Thanks to OP for taking so much time to get all of this down and share with us. Some of these ideas sound like a lot of fun. I hope a few of them make it into the World.

    Spectro-Magic

I think if you prepare your wife properly should could still enjoy it. I built it up a bit before I got there because I had forgotten how truly uninspiring the music is (for me). I think she had heightened expectations of seeing something new and when it wasn't even close to the emotional...
