When it comes to resolution, the judge can issue an order that the dissolution was unconstitutional and roll back. Then have the 2 parties come up with a plan moving forward and enter it as a consent agreement. ie The state agrees to let RCID elect a new board and that it will not attempt to...

    Firework Phone Rules rant

Reading this entire thread, I took away a different perspective 1. My view is what is important. Someone else blocked my view. But the person who blocked your view had the same mindset, my view is most important. Can be summed up as my selfish wants are being blocked by your selfish wants. 2...

Sneaky, by protecting their interest, before the new state law was even introduced in the legislature? Or, sneaky by publishing notice of what they were doing? Or even, sneaky by submitting it to the state and getting it approved by the state? And they 'acted like they were going to accept it'...

News DeSantis moves to bring state safety oversight of the Walt Disney World Monorail including suspending the service for inspections

The MCO Automated People Mover also runs on a cable and is inspected by FDOT. Actually, it is a very similar system as the Hogwarts Express.

This is not for notice for meetings of the Board or Public Hearings. This is for a meeting of the Landowners. This is a meeting for the Landowners to vote on something. This has nothing to do with the meetings in January or February, or even the new board.

News DeSantis moves to bring state safety oversight of the Walt Disney World Monorail including suspending the service for inspections

I think you have some misstatements here. The Disneyland track was not replaced, much less under orders from CalOsha. The Disneyland beamway is older than the WDW beamway. And always has. Where do you find that the WDW monorail has been due to a track replacement since 2008.

Now it is not exactly the same, because I live in Texas, not Florida. But i live in 2 special districts. 1 is a Crime Control District, where we pay additional taxes (.25% sales and also property taxes) and the district buys equipment for law enforcement and security items in our local district...

Or, and this is probably more likely, the pollsters have no clue about the issue and just used headlines and a few media stories to create the question.

    Guests visiting people staying onsite???

I am confused. What is the grey area? Disney says the pools are for registered guests only. If they are not registered guests, then they are not permitted to use the pool. There is nothing grey there.

there actually is. 'Remove its special tax status' implies that it pays less tax than anyone else does. Imagine if the question had said 'requiring local county residents to pay for the infrastructure, roadways, utility construction and emergency services that Disney pays for currently through...

Except, Disney can pay for it from the public. Sales can either go up or go down. However, this is the United States of America and our Constitution gives them the right to face those public repercussions. But it does not permit the state to add to those repercussions. Whether you agree with...

News Reedy Creek Improvement District and the Central Florida Tourism Oversight District

I think you are confused. Disney did not approve permits. Reedy Creek along with SFWMD approve the permits. Disney has no rubber stamp. Secondly, the purpose of building permits have nothing to do with culture. And if that were used as a condition for building permits, it would be struck down...

Overall these presentations are very 'curious' to be nice. For example, 4,000 violations on health inspections (i think this was the number that was quoted) on its own is disingenuous. Health Inspection violations can be as simple as a cleaning chemical spray bottle not labeled. Each individual...
