    Jungle Cruise Re-Imagining

Correct me if I'm wrong, but the only new scene so far is the sunken boat (and that is actually modifying the hippo scene so I'm not sure that truly counts as a new scene). The rhino scene, boats & bait, and trader same are all tweaks of original scenes.

    Jungle Cruise Re-Imagining

There is literally no satisfying a lot of people on this board. Disney is keeping the same gags just removing/adjusting out offensive imagery so as to keep the ride as classic and unchanged as possible. That gets a response of lazy, uninspired, joyless. BUT, if they had ripped out the scenes...

News Splash Mountain retheme to Princess and the Frog - Tiana's Bayou Adventure

Completely agree. And a theme park ride isn't the place to navigate this space and rehabilitate these stories.

Early 2022 resort booking (Polynesian) issues..."full"?

I just randomly did a search for 9/11/22-9/17/22. Standard, Pool, Lagoon, and Theme Park views are all available.

    Typical late October crowds (Pre-COVID)

Availability has not gone up equal to needs, and costs have gone up precipitously more than wages. Leaving us with less availability at a higher cost relative to earnings.

Early 2022 resort booking (Polynesian) issues..."full"?

You can currently book out to the first week of November. Yeah, the rep was way off with their info.

    Typical late October crowds (Pre-COVID)

No it hasn't. According to US BLS childcare costs have risen 214% since 1990.

Journey of Water featuring Moana coming to Epcot

Why does Moana belong in Adventureland?

FastPass+ Most Certainly Not Coming Back As It Was

Huge perk of staying at the Poly, is not having to use a bus for half the parks. And MK is only a short relaxing boat ride away.

FastPass+ Most Certainly Not Coming Back As It Was

I'm aware of the listed benefits. I thought you had said there currently were none. But as you show there are, less than before, but there are perks/benefits as listed on the resort benefits section. I also believe having a head start on ADRs is an unlisted benefit.

FastPass+ Most Certainly Not Coming Back As It Was

There is an inherent benefit to staying at Poly, GF, and Contemporary based on their proximity to the Magic Kingdom and being on the monorail to access Epcot. If you don't want to call this a perk, ok, whatever, but you're splitting hairs. But it's something you do not get by staying off...

FastPass+ Most Certainly Not Coming Back As It Was

I think people on here severely overestimate the amount of people who go to WDW more often than once every few years.

    Trouble in paradise officially?

I would suggest reading about the myth of meritocracy.

FastPass+ Most Certainly Not Coming Back As It Was

But the larger conversation going on and in your analogy was not that people shouldn't buy into being upsold at Disney, but that people should take their money elsewhere altogether. Products/services within WDW failing doesn't really have much to do with the latter conversation. For better or...

FastPass+ Most Certainly Not Coming Back As It Was

That's not exactly true though. Disney does have a unique non-duplicable product. If I go into my grocery store and see that a bottle of Heinz ketchup has gone up in price by $2, and I remember how it didn't taste as great last time, I can choose Hunts ketchup and get a similar experience for...

News Splash Mountain retheme to Princess and the Frog - Tiana's Bayou Adventure

I have a fix: Disney could adapt different characters created by African Americans! Or they could even have African Americans create brand new characters for their parks, movies, and tv series. Then you would no longer have to feign this terrible defense.

Any Bets on What Comes After Galaxy's Edge?

Ah, that trademark whimsy that Star Wars is known for. When going in Oct 2019, my family didn't go on any ride, and had to skip our reservation at Oga's but we all still enjoyed it, thought it was immersive. I'm not a diehard Star Wars fan, neither is my wife, nor was my toddler who was 2.5 at...

    News Ohana reopening July 9th

No one knows, the release doesn't state one way or the other. Everyone here is assuming it is permanent, but it being a placeholder menu until Poly fully reopens with live entertainment, character breakfasts, and the new Moana theming is also quite likely.
