    2 days - enough time?

The kind of bad news is that by splitting the trip you could have stayed at one of Universal's Deluxe hotels for the price you're paying for a Disney motel room. Just this week I was pricing up an 11 night trip for next year. To stay at Animal Kingdom Lodge come out at £2,400 ($3,600) more...

    Ticket Question

For longer then 4 days, don't forget the Orlando FlexTicket for up to 14 consecutive days. It adds in Sea World and Wet & Wild and optionally Busch Gardens. For what it is, it's a bargain.

First trip to Disney, dining plan worth it?

Taking off the hopper is wise for your itinerary. Basically you would be spending $200 to hop between parks on 1 occasion, when you can easily just spend a full day at both. Based on what you describe, the DDP makes no financial sense for you, even if you get all the reservations you want. DDP...

What Things Today Would Walt Disney Have Never Done or Be Out RAGED ABOUT.

TSMM....you expect people to pay to come to the park and you want to give them a video console game they could play at home? FP+....15 world class E-tickets or a reservation system? Which option adds best adds more capacity and increases guest happiness? The hub...you take my perfect hub, and...

Advice on ringing Disney from the UK please

I would have just logged onto the US site and ordered there...their location detection is really annoying though.

Question about Pirates of the Caribbean & its presence in the parks

...and it appears that the Minions are now bigger than Frozen. Or is that not Disney?:rolleyes:

Estimated Time to Complete Animal Kingdom

Depends on how much you rush it and if you want to take anything in. It is after all possible to do every single ride in WDW in just 1day. Heck, you won't see much and you'll rush everything...but it's possible, or at least was until 7DMT opened.

Hess Express Gas Stations to be rebranded as Speedway

Use a paperclip. Here in the UK ever single operator removes them apart from I think for truck pumps. But they only remove the bar that the clip latches onto - insert a straightened paperclip through the holes and you're sorted.

Question about Pirates of the Caribbean & its presence in the parks

It's only Avatar that I can think of which is getting the big treatment, and that will be a 9 year old film by the time the land opens, though there are sequels set to follow. I wouldn't consider Frozen to be getting a huge attraction. They're re-skinning a 20 year old attraction and not even...

New Florida law addresses "fake" service animals with possible jail time

Fortunately that scam does not work here. People could try, but most businesses would know what an authentic ID card looks like and they can easily be verified. We have a national organisation's which accredits each of the organisation's which are able to train and certify assistance dogs. They...

New Florida law addresses "fake" service animals with possible jail time

In the UK we have the world oldest and best respected organisation for Guide Dog training. Recently they had a TV programme about them and their work which was utterly fascinating, it followed the lives of a new litter of pups right through their training. If the dog is wearing his vest/harness...

    Not a Clue

If you ride RnRC, then I would give Universal roller coasters a try. If you can handle the launched start and inversions that RnRC, and unless you are really at your limit on that, you're probably going to be just fine with those at UOR.

    Not a Clue

Yes, in the same way you can do WDW is two days... There's enough between USF and IoA to fill three days easily, for a first timer or to take it easy, 4 days. Please ignore anyone who says that. They really are either talking nonsense, haven't visited since USF first opened (with a handful of...

    Going over to the darkside

Not sure I fully agree. We know that Disney cares a lot about milking ever last $ out of guests, and whilst your example is true for ticket price; it doesn't translate to food and merchandise. I would say their strategy is more about attempting to spread the crowds over more of the year, and...

    Going over to the darkside

I always put that down to jealously that they've not gotten an E ticket at WDW in more than a decade. Thus you rubbish all the new Universal rides by saying, pah but it's all screens. When it comes down to it, Disney also has a awful lot of rides that use screens...without counting I say they...

    Annual pass question

It's too late for you now, but I think if you were to buy a standard ticket on a blackout day, then late that day upgrade it to an AP, then you would only be charged the difference in price between the tickets. Unless, they now won't let you upgrade to an AP which wouldn't have be valid on that...

Selfie sticks - is this a thing at WDW yet? Disney clarifies policy

They need to get rid of the verbal diarrhoea that are the current 'safety' spiels and replace them with simple signage....like airports use. They are designed to be understood no matter what language a person speaks.

Sorry about the text on that last post, the fonts seemed to have gone a bit wild when I pasted a section in from the Disney website.

Disney No Longer Including Appetizers for Deluxe Dining Plan

I've never changed my mindset on this, check out my post history if you're in any doubt. What I originally said is that I tip on the amount of the check, if you have DDP then that's a lot less than if you're paying OOP. I have always tipped for good to great service no matter where I am, I...

Disney No Longer Including Appetizers for Deluxe Dining Plan

As others have pointed out, everyone is guarantee at least the minimum wage. They are required by law to-do so. Waiting tables, working minimum wage jobs....yup, been there and done that for something like 5 years or more. I pay what I think the service is worth, if it's rubbish then it's a...
