    Someone is Selling Restaurant Reservations....

If only they would scrap the entire ADR system. No reservations, just turn up and wait for a table. If the wait is too long, you go elsewhere. If this is too revolutionary, how about just accepting reservations on the day. Have kiosks at the park entrance, which allow you book any restaurant...

    Any water park additions planned?

Both water parks are getting an expansion very soon.... Yes both are getting a flip flop shop! Rumor is Disney will be advertising it as 'Blizzard Beach's biggest ever expansion'! Meanwhile Universal continues to add new top drawer attractions. I love both Disney waterparks, but it really...

Disney begins sales of new 5 million dollar 'Four Seasons Private Residences' at Golden Oak

Bit subjective, for those who live in far more moderate climates (i.e. cool most of the year around, with plenty of rain) there's a lot worse climates than Flordida. That said, I'd hate to live in Florida if I had to work - unless possibly in an A/C environment 100% of the time. I don't know...

    PwC Launch ??

PwC in the business world means Pricewaterhouse Coopers. Could be something they've launched.

It's that time of year again

It that's correct, then it ridiculous. It still July FFS! Christmas festivities should never begin before December thus starting to put up decorations in November would be more than sufficient.

OS: Fire department serving Disney in talks to drop special operations

I think given the main risks in the area, better trained Firefighters would be better than a Special Operations team, especially as there is another team within close proximity. Cost always plays a part and really it has too. Safety is important but it's just not feasible to eliminate all risk...

    Gatorland?

That reminds me of stopping at a gas station in the Everglades a couple of years ago....there was a guy selling photos with you holding baby gator ($5 iirc). I was quite surprised that was legal to be honest. I like to see the reptiles and preferably in a natural habitat, but have never wanted...

Walmart seeks zoning for new super center near Disney World

It's always amazes me how many identical stores can be placed within such close proximity, especially on the 192. Unfortunately, it seems Cadbury's quality has declined since being purchased by Hurshey. Their chocolate taste like crap, it wouldn't surprise me if they are trying to value...

Best Hotel for One Night "Pre-Stay"

Have stayed many times at what is now the Rosen Inn at Pointe Orlando. It's hardly fancy, but has always been clean, decent and pretty cheap. A standard room has 2 double beds, not sure about other room types. The major advantage is that you are within easy walking distance of lots of...

    Cedar Point

Oops, hope I haven't posted this in the wrong place, I saw 'Everything else' and went ahead. Only now do I see it comes under the heading 'Other Orlando attractions'. I know a few people here are from Ohio, and there must be many more who know this area.

    Cedar Point

I'm currently looking at a trip to the US in May next year and as my route will take us near Cedar Point, I thought it would be good to spend a few days in the area and visit the park. However, all of their official hotels are showing sold-out, would this likely be correct, or more likely they...

    Guests damaging property

I don't Disney was the first to offer either of those. May have been first with FastPass and FastPass+, but both of them should have been left in the imagineering junk yard

To split stay or not to split stay...

It's definitely what come up and there was no mistake in what I entered. Will have a look later to see if it's the same. As above, we get different offers here, but still $2,000 extra is insane, for what you said is normally the cheapest deluxe. Actually thinking about it, here it is not...

    Possible Frontierland expansion

Sorry if someone's already said this - I've not caught up on the whole thread yet. Isn't the hub concretification project a prime example? They've filled in an existing waterway with dirt, concreted over the top and added some astroturf. I'm not saying it would appear, but there certainly is...

Swimming in the quiet pools after-hours: does anyone actually care?

Do they add chemicals to the water after hours. In the past (not at Disney mind), I've been told that one of the reasons for closing the pool between certain hours is because chemicals are added and it takes a few hours before it disperses properly Thus it could be dangerous if someone was in...

To split stay or not to split stay...

Eek, a motel is going to be a shock to the system after AKL. Could always do it the other way around I guess. Is AKL really much cheaper than the other deluxes? Earlier this week I was pricing up a trip for 11 days in May next year. For 1 room AKL was coming out at $3,600 (£2,400 converted)...

    Universal vs. Disney

It's my understanding that there's no E-ticket in the Avatar expansion, it's 1 D-ticket (Soarin' clone) and 1 C-ticket (boat ride). I think the reference to the Universal quote is from when it was made, not some years later. There's been a few notable rides opened since that was announced...
