What percentage of the park still has actual animals?? After passing Discovery Island you see more in the back than you do up front.I don’t think so.
The Dinoland USA transition to Tropical Americas should reinforce they want it to fit in AK.
Yes you’re correct.Dory and Crush have signs, I don't think Nemo does.
I don’t think thematic integrity is a big concern here. It’s not like the shows in this theater have always tried super hard to teach us about the intrinsic value of nature wildlife or conservation.I doubt they'll be replacing the Nemo musical... and, honestly, I'm iffy on The Emperor's New Groove fitting in Animal Kingdom (or Iger's Disney greenlighting an attraction based on it).
Whatever those guys are getting paid, it isn't enough.Currently at the AK bus stops (park hopping to MK) and now the crane is going horizontal after going vertical this morning!

I can’t/wont speak for others, but IMHO, I always (foolishly?) and I even think TWDC holds itself to a much higher standard than other parks … if the other sights are satisfied with so-so, that’s fine with me. I am really disappointed with average. If that means I’m being overly pessimistic & critical, well then…guiltyWasn't this the exact same complaint people had with Paul Pressler's run of the parks? That maintinence was thrown out the window and everything was in lousy condition? Why isn't anyone outside of this site complaining about it?

I really hope they never do that. I find that name stupid and generic.
No its notSeeing as how the park is shifting away from being about animals to being just another Iger-style Glorified IP billboard park, it is very likely.
Maybe, If you are under a certain age and are only familiar with the mediocrity pit that is todays Walt Disney Company.not really
Today's Disney only neglects maintenance to the extent they can legally get away with. Paul Pressler's maintenance standards literally killed people.Wasn't this the exact same complaint people had with Paul Pressler's run of the parks? Stupid and generic is a fitting slogan for todays WDC.I really hope they never do that. I find that name stupid and generic.
Rohde himself has said Zootopia doesn't belong and that's going in the Tree of Life. Encanto and Indy are about humans, Even Avatar is a stretch in my opinion. As long as Iger and his ilk are running the parks "theme" will always be secondary to "promotion".No its not
How many animals were completely removed from the park with the change from Dinoland to Tropical Americas? What percentage of the park still has actual animals?? After passing Discovery Island you see more in the back than you do up front.
Only Marley the crocodile. The 2 storks were moved to discovery island and so were the tortoises. How many animals were completely removed from the park with the change from Dinoland to Tropical Americas?
The Theater in The Wild was a part of the story of the Dino Institute which is why you see the logo on the directional sign...It's "Intentions" were that it was to showcase symposiums and talk about the findings of the students digs and show them on stage...However, it changed when the students showcased more music than Dino Bones..I don’t think thematic integrity is a big concern here. It’s not like the shows in this theater have always tried super hard to teach us about the intrinsic value of nature wildlife or conservation.
Yeah! You guys who like what Disney is doing (globally renowned rides) don't even know what you're missing!! You're just too YOUNG to understand it.Maybe, If you are under a certain age and are only familiar with the mediocrity pit that is todays Walt Disney Company.
Yeah, and nowadays we have great amazing rides like Tiana's Bayou "Adventure", the Ratatouille ride, Crack-Addict Goofy's Slow-Moving Train Ride... and yeah, every so often we get something nice, but during Eisner's run we got rides like Test Track and Soarin' in addition to Superstar Limo and Journey Into YOUR Imagination.Back in MY day we had great amazing rides like Superstar Limo, or Journey into YOUR Imagination, or Tiki Room Under New Management, or 4 different Autotopias in one park, or Flying Saucers,
Ride wasn't great but it was unique. Now it feels like WDW is getting a clone from Disneyland. Why go to the other parks if they same things are in all of them.I’ve been riding both for 20 years and I don’t get the big love for Dinosaur. It feels like an empty warehouse with some potted plants set near the track and some not all that impressive animatronics. They were much better 20 years ago but still… you ride Indy one time and the production quality of the same ride system is so much better.
I’ve lamented that they didn’t just put an Indy ride in WDW since it opened and so I am very happy and excited they finally came to their senses.
I do feel bad though for my daughter who loves this ride. She prefers Dinosaurs (or any animal thing) to Indy. But Disney just doesn’t have that much to offer Dinosaur wise when Universal has JP.
I wish they would have invested more into Dinosaurs though in AK. It always came off very budget minded and cheap.
