I would love to hear people's predictions on how they think this new area is going to turn out.

Encanto Ride:
After Tiana's disaster I'm not sure I trust Disney to make great dark rides anymore. My concern is that it will be a screen fest. I'm also predicting it's going to be a 3D ride, although maybe that was already confirmed and I just missed it. The reason I feel that way is because the ride is going to have a focus on the kid who can talk to animals. His room is huge and the best way to achieve that with a small show building is with screens and 3D.
Predicted Rating: 7.5 / 10
with people saying it's better than Tiana but still a far cry from Disney's best work.

Indiana Jones:
I have a feeling that Disney is going to put the majority of the budget for the rides in the land into this. The main reason being that although both rides are based on film properties the people riding Indiana Jones are going to be more discerning. I feel as though Disney thinks they can get away with making the rides aimed at the younger crowds cheaper and screen filled. I also, which would be devious of Disney so they're probably doing it, think that they are introducing screens into the rides aimed at younger people as a plan to get them used to it. Then as they grow up they won't care if 9 out of 10 wdw rides are filled with screens.
For this ride though I'm predicting it's going to be on par or nearly as good as Rise of the Resistance. Some people may find that hard to believe but I really think Disney's going to go all out on this one. They need a big e-ticket or similar aimed at the teens and adults to try and steal any amount of thunder they can from Epic Universe.
Predicted Rating: 9 / 10
People are going to praise the original storyline in the fantastic and numerous animatronics along with the large and impressive environments.

The Carousel:
As someone with little kids I'm pretty excited for this and I think the concept is creative.
Predicted Rating: 8.5 / 10
People will praise how beautiful the ride is.

The overall rating for Encanto-Jones Land:
There are going to be mixed feelings as some people really loved the dinosaur area. For those that didn't connect with it the new land is going to be a huge hit. A good range of kid friendly to more adult attractions, new animals, and a revitalized part of the park that has been outdated for quite some time.
Overall animal Kingdom will become a much more well-rounded Park thanks to this new edition with all four corners of the park feeling like they have something great to offer.
Overall Rating: 8.5 / 10

This is encouraging to me, dialogue written by the original author will have the same tone as the movie. They would only need that to tell a new story, it might be something new and fun.

I agree with all the naysayers regarding the way things seem to go nowadays, I just see a possible positive here.

Wait what? They don't actually have the story of the ride done yet? Shouldn't that be done BEFORE deciding to remove an existing fan beloved ride to make sure it is a positive change? Who the heck is running this company lol

If there's a park that I have some faith Disney won't screw up, it's Animal Kingdom. Of course, they could prove me wrong lol. Verdict's still out on Zootopia

Story and dialogue are two different things. You can have a fully fleshed out story without having the dialogue written.

I disagree with both of your takes for these rides. I don’t think Tiana’s was a disaster at all. I think they will make encanto amazing. I am hoping for more than just a slow moving dark ride though but may not get that.
I don’t think Indiana jones will be anywhere near rise of the resistance. That is a whole 20 min experience with the different rooms and the transport and such. The track layout isn’t changing from dinosaur. Have you ridden Indiana jones in Disneyland? It will be very similar to that but a new storyline so new scenes. The ride/track will be the same as dinosaur. I am excited for it as I really like Indiana jones at Disneyland but I don’t think it is anywhere near the kind of ride Rise of the resistance is.
