Since Storybook Land closed for refurb on Monday, this didn't make it into Fresh Baked's construction video, but the whole front of the ride was behind a construction wall and Monstro was covered in scaffolding......probably for paint as it was looking pretty sun-baked.

There’s a rumor they might be adding Rapunzels tower to the attraction.

I made them like 25 days in advance. Nice vibe and fair prices considering you re right on the beach. Highly recommend the beignets and grilled artichokes. My fried chicken sandwich was pretty good too. If you re going to be in the area also highly recommend RH Ocean Grill (Restoration Hardware) for a lunch or dinner. Beautiful dining room on the fourth floor with an ocean view. Food was much better than I expected considering reviews were mixed.

Appreciate the rec! Looks like a gorgeous space.

I had beignets at the Beachcomber Cafe at Crystal Cove / Newport Coast last weekend and they have forever ruined beignets at Disneyland for me.
FYI, Beachcomber is owned by Doug Cavanaugh, of Ruby's Diner fame. Last time I was at a Ruby's, they also offered some sort of beignets (I think they were mini).

He also has Lighthouse Bayview Café on the peninsula, if you'd like to try something a little different.

Had no idea! My wife and I love Ruby’s. Makes sense. We drove by their charming Laguna location we didn’t know existed and we’re going to try on our next visit out there. Might have to try Lighthouse too.

The beignets at Beachcomber were out of this world. They were basically air pockets that disintegrated in your mouth. I have never been to New Orleans or Cafe Du Monde but I have hard time believing any beignet could beat the ones I tried at Beachcomber.

Now I'm furious I've never had the self-discipline to make a reservation.

Speaking of planning in advance, have you ever stayed at one of the Crystal Cove cottages? Seems like a unique SoCal experience my wife and I should have one day, though I don't know anyone who's done it and I wonder if it's worth the effort.

If Indy is lost in the temple and it’s our job to find him, who thought it was a good idea to have everyone dress exactly like him? It’s not like the temple has good lighting.
More to the point, who thought it was a good idea to have a bunch of tourists being the one looking for him. And who is going to go after them when they invariably get lost themselves since it would be Indy who would be the "go to" person for such a task.

Is it our job to find him? My impression has always been we are tourists visiting the temple and happen to catch a newsreel reporting that others have disappeared here and Indy went off to find out what happened to them.

I haven't. To be honest I didn't even realize those were bungalows you could stay in but in hindsight it makes sense. Do you live in Southern California? They take walk ins. Just might have to wait a bit. Or make a reservation and you can be eating those glorious beignets by the end of August.

What I’ve been told is that an archeologist group is raising funds by doing tours. The subtext is it’s our job to find him, and even if it’s not ours, certainly somebody is looking for him

I’ve always had the impression that Sallah, worried about Indy, “recruited” the next batch of tourists (us) to act as an emergency makeshift rescue party.
