Haha good point and I imagine Storybookland might be the reason they decided to go with Enchanted Wish too. But they need a nerd over there making these decisions. Or just someone with some common sense. Canal boats of the world lasted a few months or a year right? Enchanted Wish is just three or four years old. I would have given Storybookland a pass and gone with Snow White and Her Adventures. Not to mention, for all intents and purposes Storybookland canal boats and Canal boats of the world are different attractions.
They are allergic to not ever referring to a ride by its full current given name. Not the hill I would choose to die on, but that's how they roll.

I too probably would have just put Snow White's Adventures or something to that effect and called it a day, but I suppose I can understand that they're trying to say that the Snow White ride has been there in some capacity since 1955. The argument could also be expanded in the other direction that even attractions that haven't changed names (Peter Pan's Flight, among others) still aren't the same experience they were in 55, and most people are none the wiser.

Yeah I get it. I suppose it wouldn’t have bothered me as much if it said “Snow Whites Scary Adventures which was at least there since 83. Enchanted Wish is just so new to be on that shirt IMO. And it doesn’t help that I think the name is terrible.

The name certainly isn't their best work, but I admit I can't think of something better to communicate a tonal change of the attraction, assuming that they weren't allowed to use "Adventure" since it hued too closely to the ride's original name.

Perhaps we as a forum workshopped dozens of better names back when the change was announced and I've forgotten.

I’d be ok with Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs a la Alice in Wonderland.

I probably would have bought this shirt if they didn’t list Snow Whites Enchanted Wish as an opening day attraction. SMH. Who is doing the QC for these things?

On a different but related tangent, Autopia is often mentioned as one of those opening day attractions that are still in operation today.

A real question for those scholars out there: other than name, spirit, and general location, is there anything from the original Autopia left in use today?

I’m not an Autopia scholar but not really IIRC.

If you're in Hawaii or other areas, be safe, stay smart. For those of us in CA etc... probably at least keep out of the small harbors tonight...

Just watched the new Zootopia 2 trailer. Boy, yeah, that is certainly a Disney sequel trailer through and through. The best takeaway: More alt-universe world-building, having fun with addressing how a multi-species civilization might function. Worst takeaway: The trailer’s predictable laser focus on smug, same-y, modern Disney sitcom “humor.” Ugh.

Oh, well, at least it wasn’t the Smurfs trailer. I hope Z2 turns out to be a solid film with some genuine surprises.

At least they completely eschew the mysterious hooded figure from the teaser in this trailer, which is good. Keep that under wraps for as long as possible. One of my favorite parts of the first Zootopia was the Bellwether twist, and so while I imagine it's obvious Gary's being framed, I still want that implication far away from the trailers.

I had beignets at the Beachcomber Cafe at Crystal Cove / Newport Coast last weekend and they have forever ruined beignets at Disneyland for me.

How far in advance did you make your reservation? lol I’ve always wanted to eat there but have never planned in advance. I’ve enjoyed some libations at the adjacent bar though — fun vibe over there.

I made them like 25 days in advance. Nice vibe and fair prices considering you re right on the beach. Highly recommend the beignets and grilled artichokes. My fried chicken sandwich was pretty good too. If you re going to be in the area also highly recommend RH Ocean Grill (Restoration Hardware) for a lunch or dinner. Beautiful dining room on the fourth floor with an ocean view. Food was much better than I expected considering reviews were mixed.

Good to hear about RH, I'd wanted to dine there because of the gorgeous location but was scared away by the reviews. Will try to check it out next time I'm there.
Beast's Library reopening for a temporary LORCANA thing?

Very cool. I got out of Lorcana a while ago but still enjoy the artwork of all the cards. Curious how the library will look, I wonder if they removed the personality stations when Imagination Campus took over.

We had a great time. A few people in the reviews were also surprised the place only had lukewarm reviews so I’m thinking maybe they re just not consistent at the moment and I got lucky. All the dishes had a nice finesse to them. If someone likes big bold flavors they probably won’t like this place or at least the dishes we tried. The prosciutto plate, crispy artichokes and grilled shrimp were all great. My fried chicken sandwich (yes I got a fried chicken sandwich here too) was very good but I did need to ask for a side of Louisiana hot sauce. My grandma loved the branzino. Definitely get the carmelized banana split.

Since Storybook Land closed for refurb on Monday, this didn't make it into Fresh Baked's construction video, but the whole front of the ride was behind a construction wall and Monstro was covered in scaffolding......probably for paint as it was looking pretty sun-baked.
