If anyone is interested, in the video Jack talks to Zsolt Hormay about Piston Peak (time stamped to the start of the interview)
None of that is water that currently exists though. Not sure what all is getting filled in around big thunder - I’m assuming all? But maybe they are keeping a small amount. The latest fun map shows a lot of water but I suspect it’s fake just to try to lessen the outrage.

Would there not be more outrage if they lied and showed water they weren't planning on including? The latest fun map shows a lot of water but I suspect it’s fake just to try to lessen the outrage.
All we can do is wait and see.
No, because they could use the excuse that it was just concept art and things can change. It’s not like it’s never happened before.Would there not be more outrage if they lied and showed water they weren't planning on including?
I don’t think it’s “fake” so much as over-exaggerated.The latest fun map shows a lot of water but I suspect it’s fake just to try to lessen the outrage.

I’m watching now!Amazing video @IveBeenJack

Only time will tell if it’s fake or over-exaggerated. I hope the end up with a river front like is in the fun map.I don’t think it’s “fake” so much as over-exaggerated.
I had a chance to visit DCA recently. In my view Cars Land and Grizzly Peak areas are two of the best themed in any Disney park. I’m still dismayed at this project but if they combine the best parts of those lands into one land that’s not a bad thing.Only time will tell if it’s fake or over-exaggerated. If we get a couple of water features in the end product, is the fun map fake or over-exaggerated?
I guess it really doesn’t matter, we are going to get what we get - see World Celebrations gardens planter and forever broken in ground lighting.

If WDW’s carsland could get anywhere near the detail and theme that of the DCA carsland that would be great!I had a chance to visit DCA recently. And people will just say it makes more business sense to have less water. No, because they could use the excuse that it was just concept art and things can change. It’s not like it’s never happened before.

The plan until late in the game was to build Villains, Coco, AND keep RoA. The idea that the Rivers had to go for Villains is not true.
From my understanding there seem to be some attempts to rewrite history going on here.
I sure hope not. That bridge is a piece of history as it was on Henry Flagler’s railroad which pretty much built Miami.Just a guess, but perhaps the bridge will be replaced with one that no longer opens since watercraft won't be going in or out anymore.
What!!!! That’s really cool. I didn’t know that.I sure hope not. That bridge is a piece of history as it was on Henry Flagler’s railroad which pretty much built Miami.
Which “fake insiders” are you referring to, because I’m usually pretty discerning and remember the reports coming from folks with a proven track record of record.Unfortunately there were a bunch of fake insiders leading up to that event. Mostly grifting off of Disney’s own 2022 showcase. I don’t think it was decided on late in the game. At least six months before D23 and worked on a good year before.
Even the one being quoted I’m skeptical of. My track record of getting things right for D23 that were actually not previously mentioned at the prior conference was higher and I literally knew nothing and educated guess like the best of them.
I include myself in this, I just didn’t want to listen to the very few people who actually knew when it came to Cars. Because it sounded worse.
