I would have loved to have seen Elton John. Looked at tickets when he was in Tampa...yeah, couldn't afford that one. I actually saw Aerosmith back in in the days before marriage and kids. It was either Alpine Valley or World Music Theater.
I have seen Billy Joel and Elton John together twice. Once at Wrigley Field. Both were great shows. Alpine Valley? I thought you were in NY for some reason. I learned to ski there and have seen many shows there.
I'm pretty sure Aerosmith was Alpine. I KNOW I saw Bon Jovi at Alpine; we drove home in the WORST storm I had ever driven through.

There was a summer of concerts back in '90 or '91. Ah, the joys of standing in line at Ticketmaster (I think it was in a Sears or Pennys??)
We saw Stevie Ray Vaughan at Alpine Valley the night he died in the helicopter crash. The fog was so thick we had to stay at a local hotel. It worked out fine because we had tickets to Boston the next night. It was a spectacular 3 hour mud fest in the pouring rain! Interesting that at the start of the show, the band came in on a helicopter that came in over the crowd. They landed on the stage, jumped out, and started playing as the helicopter took off. I believe this was also 90. We were probably at the same Bon Jovi show.

Chick-fil-a makes milkshakes way better than any other fast food chain. I don’t know what the difference is but say McDonald’s shakes are armadillo food in comparison.
Talking milkshakes if you try the numerous offerings of Cook-Out that’s mainly in the South it’s worth the trip. Their hush puppies , BBQ, burgers and hot dogs are good too.

I remember when Stevie Ray Vaughan died in that helicopter crash. He and his older brother Jimmie (The Fabulous Thunderbirds) were both born in Dallas, but moved here to Austin in the 70’s, and made it their home base.
Both my younger bros saw SRV many times (especially youngest), but, unfortunately I never did.
Back when we were dating, Carolyn and I saw The Fabulous Thunderbirds with ZZ Top and Boston, on Boston’s “Third Stage” album tour, in either ‘86 or ‘87, at the Cotton Bowl in Dallas.
I really loved/love SRV’s music, and could still kick myself for never having gone to see him. :(

You should try the peppermint shake they have around Christmas. It’s pretty good too. (Nothing beats peach though)
I miss peppermint stuff. It's not really a thing here. There's an ice cream shop in the summer that has mint chocolate chip ice cream, but that's the only place I can get it. I'd LOVE a mint shake. And we can buy the After Eight mints, but that's the only peppermint thing here. I guess the Dutch just don't really like mint.

I'm not a real fan of peach. My brother LOVES anything peach, but I've never really liked it much. McDonalds here takes away their chocolate shake every spring and summer and switches it out for something fruity, like mango or passion fruit, both of which are disgusting. Can't stand most tropical fruits. I don't get why they have to take away the chocolate. They already have strawberry, AND banana year round, which are both fruity. Why get rid of the one non-fruit flavor for more fruit?? It makes no sense! Sorry....rant over.

I had mango gelato in Amsterdam. It was so good. It was half mango and half mascarpone. I like chocolate too but not a lot all at once.

Have you ever thought what would happen if Disney was required to display calories? Like would people still buy what they buy.
If posted not surprising. One can get calorie count on food and drink items in some Disney dining options if one asks a CM for the info. In a non Disney place ( Panera ) I was shocked on the sat fat and sugar content on one of my fave items - cinnamon crunch bagel.

2 questions. One McDonalds has a banana shake where you live? And two do they not have vanilla?
