There are four concerts I would like to see again but none of them are touring anymore: Elton John, Billy Joel, Aerosmith, and Jimmy Buffett (RIP). Those and my first Beach Boys concert were the best I've ever been to. Concerts are just so expensive now, it doesn't seem worth the price for 2 hours and there really isn't anyone I really want to see that justifies the cost. Although my Jimmy Buffett concerts were always longer than 2 hours because we would tailgate as soon as the parking lot opened. That being said, I wouldn't mind seeing Michael Buble in concert.

I really don't understand the obsession that Americans have with fast food. I mean sure there's fast food in other countries but fast food can be good.

Everywhere a new place opens up....chaos opening day.
In regards to opening day , when Wawa opened up its first FL in the early 2010s it was a big deal. Former NJ residents living in FL rejoiced that something they missed was opening and expanding into FL. Even Governor Rick Scott came by opening day for the ribbon cutting which was right down the road from Sea World. I like Wawa but when I visited Bucces in Florence SC that is the holy grail and also probably the cleanest bathrooms I’ve ever been too. There was talk of opening a Bucces in NJ by the turnpike but those plans have been shelved because to operate a location with 126 gas pumps NJ would have to staff that location at the gas pumps. NJ is the only state where state law says you are not allowed to pump your own gas.

I would have loved to have seen Elton John. Looked at tickets when he was in Tampa...yeah, couldn't afford that one. I actually saw Aerosmith back in in the days before marriage and kids. It was either Alpine Valley or World Music Theater.

My brother got us back stage passes for Elton John in college. He did a benefit concert when matthew shepherd was murdered. My brother was the chairman of the LGBTA on campus and had been a friend of Matt's, so he was sent all over to make speeches and whatnot, and when artists came to campus, he got passes. He took mom to Peter Paul and Mary and I guess they rode around in Peter's limo after the show. Westboro Baptist church came a couple of times to protest and we did a counter protest both times and Peter stopped by on his way out of town to thank all of us who were dressed as angels. It was really sweet. But Elton John never showed up in the back stage area. We hung out there and waited until the concert was supposed to start and he never came. So we went and took our seats and then we heard he showed up right after we left. I was so sad we missed him.

I saw Aerosmith in Alpine Valley Wisconsin, is that where you saw them. I actually saw Elton John and Billy Joel in concert together, I think that was in the early 2000’s. It was so good! I thought about Elton John’s farewell tour but it sold out in Minneapolis super fast. Then I looked into tickets for Paris, he was there when I took my niece there but she wasn’t really into it.

I'm pretty sure Aerosmith was Alpine. I KNOW I saw Bon Jovi at Alpine; we drove home in the WORST storm I had ever driven through.

There was a summer of concerts back in '90 or '91. Ah, the joys of standing in line at Ticketmaster (I think it was in a Sears or Pennys??)

Back in the 1980s fond memories standing on line the night before tickets go on sale next morning at 10am. The record store we went to started selling tickets at 1005am since we saw and didn’t question the staff print out tickets for themselves exactly at 10am then the first person on line was sold their tickets a few minutes later.

If you haven’t tried this yet you need to. It is more delicious than words can describe.

Peach is one of my favorite flavors. Even Jelly Belly peach jelly beans have good peach flavor to them. I always make sure I have at least one in a handful, and save it for last. Definitely gonna’ hafta’ try that shake…!!! :)
Peaches are grown heavily here in the Fredericksburg, Texas area (along with plenty of grapes by the wineries), and are available from about mid-May through mid-August.
Sooooo darn good…!!!!! :hungry:

Buc-ee’s just needs to flip coasts to Oregon, where they have now been allowed to pump their own gas since 2023.

You should try the peppermint shake they have around Christmas. It’s pretty good too. (Nothing beats peach though)

I’ve heard of that one too, but have never had one.
I’m not a big milkshake guy, but for peach I’m in…!!!!! :hungry:
Chick-fil-a makes milkshakes way better than any other fast food chain. I don’t know what the difference is but say McDonald’s shakes are armadillo food in comparison.
