MK The Hall of Presidents closing for refurbishment on January 20, 2025

Instead of the current president speaking, the show should be randomized so each performance features a different figure justifying their presidency. Let’s hear Arthur talk about vomiting at Delmonicos or Harding trying to excuse Teapot Dome. THAT would be edutainment.
Finding good voice actors, and not celebrities, would be a challenge for Disney nowadays though.

WDW is an international resort - international guests have zero interest in celebrating the American exceptionalism and superiority complex - especially when the orange mutt is involved. International tourism is going to continue to drop due to this administration - the last thing anyone needs is more propoganda.
I'm an international guest, have been visiting the US since 1983.

Who's the US President at the time of my visits is not something I consider every time I take a WDW vacation, which is several times a year, btw.

I don't see The Hall of Presidents as propaganda, regardless of administration. To me, the show is about American History.

Just sharing my own (international) point of view.

We’ve been going to WDW pretty regularly since the early 90s and I’ve been twice: on the first trip and once when it was pouring.

I minored in Classics in college and participated in several archeological digs, so clearly I’m interested in history.

On my very pricey vacation, with limited time, and especially when I’m trying to escape the real world and hide in the bubble, the last thing I want to do is sit captive in this theatre.

I say this as someone who happily sits through other shows, and rode Energy on almost every trip. So obviously I’m not easily bored 😆

When it comes down to it, they’re closing Muppets, which has incredibly high guest ratings and is popular, in a park with far less to do (especially for young children) because they couldn’t monetize it.

With that logic, then why on earth would they continue to pour money into updating this every few years when it’s controversial and less popular than pretty much everything else in the park, including the riverboat (which will be gone soon)?

While I do personally enjoy HoP, it is certainly one of the least popular attractions in the park and I can't imagine it isn't in the top two on the list of future replacements. The nature of politics in general these days can't be helping its chances of sticking around long term.

True we are in a contentious political cycle, but one has to hope the world will settle back to civility again and we can appreciate the American Experiment we are all living through... the good and the bad...it is our history... Not a team sport or a popularity contest... I am not even sure it is the "least popular attraction"...

What MK attractions do you think might be less popular?

Close to it according to TP anyway. The only attractions below it are:
  • The Riverboat - Already being replaced.
  • Barnstormer - Can't see them replacing a kids coaster anytime soon.
  • Tomorrowland Speedway - Which I think is the other top candidate for next to go.
  • Swiss Family - Not sure what they could do with this. Retheme it maybe, but unlikely for an entire replacement.
  • Astro Orbiter - Can't do much else with this space.

Politics never were civil.

TP?....Barnstormer always has very long lines..as does the Speedway and the Astro Orbiter... Swiss Family Robinson takes up a very small footprint and is [art of the landscape of Adventureland... no reason to remove it.... Only thing that could possibly fit in that space would be another spinner...no thanks.....
