Dates and new details announced for the 2024 EPCOT International Flower and Garden Festival at Walt Disney World

Notably, the 2024 Flower and Garden Festival is much shorter than in recent years. The 2023 event was held from March 1 through July 5, or just over 120 days.
Good. F&G should be a mostly spring festival anyway. June and July is just too hot for this festival.

No mention of CommuniCore Hall being open in time for Flower & Garden. Wonder if it'll be delayed to Food & Wine now since its a dedicated festival space

I'm thinking it will be open sometime in June and July, hence the shortened schedule for F&G. Besides, I like F&G better during the spring.

"At the park's main entrance, there will be new topiaries from the Walt Disney Animation Studios film "Wish," including Asha, Valentino and the Wishing Star."

I expected this but I'm still disappointed
It’s like “Stop trying to make Wish happen, it’s not going to happen!”

$15? Please. $25 "gourmet" hotdog flights.

In all seriousness, I've been expecting something like that for several years. TDO is addicted to/dependent on festivals to generate revenue at Epcot.
Yes, and clearly stretching F&G and F&W to 4 months each is not working. They tried changing up some offerings during the festivals last year but it wasn’t enough.

TDO - "We need something to draw people into Epcot during the summer, dammit! We need those profits!!"

Underpaid peon - "What if we held some kind of summertime festival full of food and booze?"

TDO - "BRILLIANT! You're promoted to President of Epcot!"

Underpaid peon - "That position doesn't ex..."

*Underpaid peon is subsequently tossed out of the conference room by security, thrown out of the building, and fired*

TDO - "We are just full of great ideas. Who's going to ask Bob to give us all a raise this time?"

Maybe Food and Wine starts and ends earlier and Festival of the Holidays starts earlier with the rest of the other Christmas offerings?
